Passing through for one evening, unfortunately we were not aware of the hotel when we booked at the adjacent village which was not at all pleasant, so much so that we went out and had dinner here at Peak Meters, where we found courtesy, professionalism, excellent food, and maximum hospitality.... Thank you for managing to recover the evening that we did not expect to find in the village 😡😡... Highly recommended the restaurant, everything good, fresh..

A peaceful, green farmhouse, renovated to maintain its rustic style but with modern comforts (the shower that converts to a sauna is wonderful). The restaurant offers a variety of delicious home-cooked dishes every day. A starting point for excursions to Fiumalbo and Mount Cimone.

Enchanting location, we only ate at the restaurant on our way back from a ski trip. Excellent quality ingredients, impeccable service, and reasonable prices for the dishes we sampled. The charcuterie and cheese platter (game) alone is worth the stop.

09/08/2025: The tagliatelle with Bolognese ragù is excellent, both for the texture and cooking of the pasta, and for the quality of the ragù. The house platter includes more gnocco fritto than cured meats and cheeses, but the quality is still good.

06/07/2025: Noi ci siamo fermati anche a dormire: stanze semplici, ma pulitissime che è la cosa migliore. La cena è stata spettacolare. Buonissima cucina locale fatta in casa. Ci siamo letteralmente sfondati anche se non avremmo dovuto ;). Il personale è davvero gentile e competente.
27/05/2025: This year too we came to Guiglia for the borlengo festival, but this time too we preferred to eat comfortably in a restaurant. La Lanterna assured us a table for two in the second round, after 2 pm, but at 1:45 pm we were already seated. I'll start by saying that the food was excellent but the service was a bit lacking. We had two borlenghi, a first course divided in two, Lanterna tortelli, a goulash and a sausage with potatoes. The lady who took the orders, took them in her head, because the tablet wasn't working, but she got the first course wrong. As soon as we noticed the mistake and pointed it out, they immediately served us what we had asked for and to make up for it they left us the wrong dish, obviously not making us pay for it. A very appreciable gesture. Then they also forgot to serve the borlenghi... And after a couple of times that we asked for them we were finally able to eat them. Let's say that the service was a bit so-so but for how they behaved and the constant apologies for the mistakes, in addition to the really good food, we are sure that next year we will definitely return!
