Excellent restaurant, artichokes prepared in 4 different ways, fish of the day, perfect cooking and the wines are affordable and good Tuscan bottles. The rack of lamb and hare are prepared the old-fashioned way.

Appreciable cuisine and attentive and professional service in a soberly elegant environment without particular notes but pleasant overall. Internal rooms that give a sense of greater intimacy and avoid the "restaurant hall" effect that generally characterizes places of this size. Toilets not up to the standard of the service and the place. Rather high cost if you take into account the fact that for 2pp. We took 2 glasses of chardonnay and not a bottle but the service with welcome tasting with beautiful presentation and plating was very welcome.

The restaurant is tucked away in an alley in Lucca, which makes it particularly suitable for quiet lunches and dinners (even during comics). The staff is friendly and helpful, always attentive to the customer. The menu presents a varied choice of dishes capable of satisfying all palates. The quality of the dishes is excellent: you immediately understand not only that whoever is in the kitchen knows how to do their job but also that the ingredients and raw materials used are of high quality. The price is not the cheapest but certainly adequate for the quality of what is served. Lastly, if you are a comic book enthusiast and eat in one of the internal rooms, you will be able to admire the numerous and wonderful drawings created for the owner by the guests of Lucca Comics.

Lucca tiene la suerte de tener algunos restaurantes realmente maravillosos. Ristorante Al Olivo es definitivamente uno de ellos. Hemos cenado aquí muchas, muchas veces en los últimos 10 años, para el almuerzo y la cena. Cada visita ha sido una experiencia realmente maravillosa, con una calidad y un servicio consistentes y muy altos. En los meses más fríos nos sentamos en el interior, las habitaciones son amplias y elegantes, con un ambiente cálido. Interior tiene calefacción para el invierno y aire acondicionado para el verano. En verano nos sentamos al aire libre. La zona exterior está cubierta del sol, con vegetación y con nieblas de agua fina para enfriar. En invierno la zona exterior está cerrada por lo que se vuelve más como una marquesina. Junto con nuestros amigos hemos probado casi todo en el menú y siempre hemos disfrutado de la comida (y están muy atentos a nuestras intolerancias alimentarias - lácteos, huevo, ajo, menos sal). Las porciones son generosas. La carta de vinos es extensa e impresionante, al igual que el conocimiento del vino del personal. El servicio de espera me ha parecido impecable a lo largo de los años: tienen una profesionalidad y una facilidad, lo que es impresionante. Es buena comida, así que no es barato, pero creo que no es demasiado caro (en comparación con los precios australianos). Sin duda recomiendo Al Olivo.
