What can I say? We ate and drank very well at a price I would say more than fair for two first courses, two second courses and two desserts + water and wine. The atmosphere is adorable and intimate, very attentive and careful service, perhaps the only flaw was the heat that was felt in the room. The host is amazing and we happily stopped to chat… and let it not be said that the Genoese do not offer amaro (very good by the way) 😉

Mixed experience at Osteria Rustichello
I recently dined at Osteria Rustichello, a welcoming restaurant located in the heart of Genoa, a few steps from Brignole station. 
Strengths:
• The crunchy octopus with caramelized Tropea onions was the real star of the evening: perfectly golden on the outside, tender and tasty on the inside, accompanied by sweet onions that beautifully balanced the dish.
• The lemon and basil sorbet ended the meal in a fresh and original way, leaving a pleasant memory.
• The staff was kind and helpful, helping to create a friendly atmosphere. 
Aspects to improve:
• The first courses disappointed expectations. The scialatielli with clams, in particular, were excessively greasy and lacked the distinctive flavor of clams.
• The waiting times between courses were quite long, making the experience less fluid than hoped.
In summary, Osteria Rustichello offers some quality dishes and friendly service, but there is room for improvement, especially in the preparation of first courses and in the management of service times.

We tried the restaurant on the advice of our hotel and we were really impressed. We ate very well, the quality of the food is excellent and the creativity of the dishes is original. The environment is in a quiet area, very welcoming and the staff is also available to give advice on the choice. I recommend it positively because I tried the scialatielli with clams and anchovies and for dessert the canestrelli. Highly recommended!

We were here this evening, without a reservation. The person who seemed to be the owner was very kind both in welcoming us and before leaving. The staff is attentive and courteous. The food was excellent, we ate really well (the calamarata with octopus and radicchio was highly recommended). We will definitely be back!

The restaurant is very cosy and we sat outside Really tasty starter with lightly fried anchovies, octopus with potatoes and bruschetta with mixture of goat cheese / cream and anchovies fillets on top! Then 3 pasta dishes with pesto, ragu and the amazing anchovies with bread crumbs. Homemade Tiramisu and Penna Cotta for dessert. Complimented with a bottle of Rebo Rigotti and a bottle of Traiano! The host Valerio was great and the staffs were very hospitable. Definitely a place to visit for the best local cuisine!

Very cozy restaurant for local people. We happened passed by and had a wonderful lunch. Price is reasonable, recommend it.
A cozy little shop. The dessert Tiramisu is not greasy and melts in your mouth. It is delicious. The salty ones are also delicious.

The food was very good – especially the seafood dishes, which were fresh and perfectly seasoned. The pasta in the tag was also tasty and interestingly served. The dish with pesto and pasta was the weakest, but the octopus – a revelation, delicate and full of flavour.

Accade che in Liguria ci siano persone capaci di fare accoglienza… Lo stereotipo di: “torta di riso...finita!” qui NON è di casa… ottima accoglienza, gentilezza e buona cucina… Rapporto Q/p correttissimo.
