Ristorante Accademia In Firenze

We had two fantastic meals at this restaurant last week. Great meals, great wine, great atmosphere

Stopped by for a late lunch. Had the pizza mahgarita which was delicious. Sat outside and enjoyed the afternoon light and the people passing by. Service was a bit relaxed which seems typical in Italy, but we weren’t in a hurry anyway! Lovely pause between window shopping and visiting museums.

I have been returning to this restaurant year after year, Alone or with groups, is the best place in Florence. The food is delicious and everyone in the staff is friendly, large selection of wines, overall the best!! And is always full so make a reservation!

We ate well. The service was pleasant. But the decor is very old and the maintenance is very average.

Everything was delicious, and Filipo's service was the best! Highly recommended.

We were told by my friend in Newport, RI (Susan Ducca) that if you go to Florence you should go to my friend’s restaurant, Ristorante Accademia. I looked it up and after seeing Michelangelo’s David, my wife and our friends decided to give it a try. We were met at the door by the host and behind him a gentleman that I asked “Are you Giovanni?” “Yes” was his reply and I explained that I was friends with Susan. He was so excited that she had sent us (Susan is a very special person indeed). We were given a great table. The food was so delicious, without going into great detail zucchini blossom tempura style (perfecto), wild boar with fettuccine, saltimbocca and more, all incredible. It was so much fun being there and Valentina, also a friend of the fabulous Susan, who served us was fantastic. The absolutely best restaurant that we have been to in Italy. It was like the movies where you walk into the Restaurant in Italy and you are treated like old friends. Thanks so much Susan for your recommendation and Giovanni and Valentina for treating us like “old friends”.

Great place for a nice meal and a break from the day. Well worth the stop.

Fresh made bread and hand crafted pasta. All delicious and fresh. Fast service. All dishes were tasty. Favorite was the mushroom strudel.

You can go with your eyes closed. This restaurant was recommended to us by the receptionist at the hotel where we are staying. Quality cuisine and incredibly kind waiters. We even had an Italian lesson, thanks Marcel

I ate very well, Mr. Pietro was very kind. Highly recommended.
