What can I say... The quality of the food is truly excellent... The service is quite slow... only one person serving... The prices are quite high for the small quantity of food... Would NOT return.

Seafood restaurant located in the old town of Taranto. The atmosphere is truly lovely, the staff is polite and very helpful. The only flaw... the food: the mixed appetizers, six courses for €20, weren't exactly impressive. The only noteworthy dish, in terms of flavor, was the gratinated mussels (unfortunately, the mussels were really small and not very full). The baked sea bass was much better. Taste, as we know, is subjective, but I expect much more from a seafood restaurant in Taranto.

I had lunch with my family. We had appetizers for three of the six courses. The poached octopus seemed like a single portion. The first and second courses were excellent. The prices were a bit high.

ABSOLUTELY THE BEST RESTAURANT IN THE OLD TOWN! Excellent quality food and impeccable service! Very kind and polite waiters! Impressive location! I will definitely be back! Highly recommended!! A suggestion? Order the ravioli! Divine!!!! Balanced bill!

We've been coming to this restaurant for years, always leaving satisfied. The quality shines through in everything they do, not just in the dishes, which combine tradition and innovation, but also in the service, the attention, and the courtesy they show each and every customer. I usually eat alone. I've been here before, and I can only speak highly of the poetry and professionalism they convey through their dishes. Highly recommended for both groups and romantic dinners... and, of course, even for solo dining. A particularly appreciated note: even the bread at dinner is as fresh as if it were just baked, even though they don't make it themselves. I really appreciate it because it shows care in choosing their suppliers. The fish is fresh, of course, but they also have dry-aged fish... which is a real treat. Prices are reasonable, if not below average for the quality they offer (which is truly high). In short, a must-try.

What a hidden gem in Taranto 🙌🏼 the restaurant is beautiful, the ambiance is great with the best music and the customer service top notch 👏🏼 The food is so fresh the filled pasta with calamari along the aged fish were our favorite We will be back 100% when returning to Taranto

13/10/2025: We had a very nice dinner at Hostaria La Serrra. Very nice fresh seasonal products and very good service. Certainly a place to go back to.
05/10/2025: I was looking for a place to have lunch and stumbled upon this osteria. The place is beautiful, warm, and welcoming; it makes you feel right at home. The staff is friendly. Antonio, in the dining room, inspires trust and feels like you've known him forever; Romina is the queen of the kitchen (which is open to the public, so another plus because you can see everything that's going on). I was lucky enough to sit at the table next to the kitchen, and watching the relationship between the two was pure fun, filled with laughter and jokes. The food was excellent: two plates of delicious orecchiette, one with sauce and meatballs, the other with zucchini flowers, cacio ricotta, and pancetta—spectacular! You absolutely have to come… and they have Calabrian chestnuts ;)!

L'Orologio - Gastronomia d'Asporto

01/10/2025: Simply amazing!!! Delicious, filling, homemade Italian dishes, both with and without meat. The place isn't too eye-catching, but don't let that fool you. The interior is simply furnished. Behind the glass counter, numerous meals are displayed, all purchased individually. The taste is incredible. The dishes are perfectly seasoned and filling – I ate much more than I needed because it was so delicious. The prices are commensurate with the quality and quantity. The staff is friendly, smiling, and engaging in conversation. As for the owners, we communicate in Italian or via Google Translate – it's very helpful. I highly recommend this place, and if the opportunity arises, I'll eat here again. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
29/09/2025: Yesterday we ate paccheri with lobster and fried octopus and a good Primitivo rosé wine, everything was really good, a quiet atmosphere, as if I were at home, thank you very much
