Excellent for lunch (self-service), and typical dishes for dinner (waitress service). Eating together with others at long tables is fun and creates a special atmosphere!

Excellent food for the price! I had a delicious seafood risotto, and my girlfriend had pasta with white sauce, everything very fresh. Wine, water, and juice were very affordable. The tiramisu was delicious, with a well-balanced sugar content. Customer confidence is another positive. The atmosphere is beautiful, bucolic, and cozy, except for the bathroom having toilets instead of flush toilets. This undermines the overall comfort of the place.

A wonderful restaurant in Vicenza, with fast service, a daily menu with cheaper options, and excellent service. The attentive service and friendly waitstaff also make the experience even better!

The most unusual and satisfying dining experience I had on my Vicenza short break. No tourist menu here. This is a closely kept local secret. In fact on the street all you see is a door with a canopy with "Self-service restaurant" written on it. Walk around the back to the Piazza del Duomo and you see packed tables with happy diners tucking into their food. Self-service is a bit of a misnomer. Lunch is a choice of 3 mains dishes. Make your pick at the buffet counter and your plate is filled for you. Vegetables or salad come on a separate plate. Dessert is 4 cold dishes; tiramisu, chocolate mousse, and such like. Bread rolls are help yourself. The waiters check what's on your table and leave a running note with you. Wine and coffee are brought to you on request and the note is updated. When you leave take your note to the cash desk and your bill is calculated. And the great thing is it is about half what you expected! In the evening they revert to standard table service and with a wide choice of dishes and drinks. The food is simple and tasty and the clientele seem largely Italian and local. It is great value. If I lived here I would eat here every day.

First time in Vicenza for work, and this restaurant turned out to be a pleasant discovery. Welcoming atmosphere and excellent cuisine, perfect for a regenerating lunch break. Ideal both with colleagues and friends, and for a family lunch. Highly recommended!

Cuando llegué, una joven me recibió en la puerta y me explicó el proceso. Primero, me mostró dónde encontrar artículos para poner mi propia mesa. Poner tu mesa esencialmente guarda tu lugar. Una vez que mi mesa estaba lista, me dirigí a la sala de atrás, un hombre detrás del mostrador toma su orden de comida caliente. Puedes pedirle directamente o señalarle cualquier artículo que quieras probar. Un menú se coloca convenientemente en la pared por encima de la comida. Después de seleccionar mis alimentos y bebidas, puse mis artículos en una bandeja y volví a mi mesa. Alguien entonces anotó mi pedido en un pedazo de papel, que llevé a la caja registradora cerca del área de comida para pagar. Un toque único es que sirve sus propias bebidas, incluido el vino, en una estación de autoservicio cerca del área de comida. Comí aquí un par de veces y estaba muy contento con todo lo que pedí.

Trattoria Da Tullio

10/08/2025: Sometimes you stumble upon a place that makes you feel truly lucky to have found it — this is one of those places! We were looking for somewhere to eat and discovered this restaurant on Google Maps, thanks to the other reviews here. We didn’t have a reservation but decided to try our luck and go anyway. At first glance, the building looks like an ordinary house, but when you walk around the corner, a charming terrace with a pergola appears. We were greeted with a warm welcome and could choose a table outside. The service is on another level: friendly, fast, and authentic. One of the lovely ladies speaks English very well, and the other speaks “hands-and-feet” English just as charmingly 😉. Compliments to both for working so quickly and efficiently, making sure every guest has everything they need. They even offer mosquito spray (which was both much needed and highly effective). A special shout-out to the lady who speaks less English — she works incredibly hard and fast. Thank you! The food is absolutely delicious: handmade pasta, rich flavors, and all at a very reasonable price (€45 for one starter, two main courses, two glasses of wine, a bottle of water, two desserts, and one espresso). The tiramisu was the best we had during our holiday in Italy — simply divine! After paying, we were treated two small shots of liquorice and lemon liqueur. Thank you for giving us such a delightful evening!
17/07/2025: Nel panorama delle trattorie o ristoranti vicentini è ormai raro trovare un posto dove si mangia bene a prezzi ragionevoli. Da Tullio, storica trattoria di Vicenza, il menù è quello della tradizione ma con tocchi di interessante modernità. Dopo tre cene qui posso dire che tutto quello che ho mangiato è davvero ben fatto, con ingredienti freschi e preparato in modo appetitoso e mai banale Le fettuccine ai funghi, siano trombette o finferli, sono davvero ben fatte e gustose e non annegate nel burro come quasi dappertutto. Il rotolo di faraona, le quaglie ripiene di pasta di salame o lo spezzatino di bufalo sono davvero di qualità, saporiti e ben equilibrati con i sapori. Tutti piatti ben riusciti. Buoni anche i contorni, patate al forno comprese che spesso altrove sono un disastro. Porzioni normali e prezzo tra i 30 e i 40 € per un pasto di due portate compresi acqua e vino. Amari e liquori sempre offerti. Il locale è un po' rumoroso all'interno d'inverno ma d'estate c'è anche un bel giardino esterno Sempre pieno ovviamente, prenotate. Bravissimi.👍
