Highly recommended. Beautiful refuge, very good and carefully prepared dishes, fantastic flavors, excellent beer, and attentive and friendly staff. We returned a few weeks later just for lunch, and we're not even from the area!!! Kudos to you!

We were there on a sunny, cool day, with few people, so my opinion might be biased. We were warmly welcomed (we're in Carnia, so that's not a given) with such kindness from the start that you feel like a regular. You can feel the culture and respect for everything. They even organized entertainment for the little ones. Excellent, local food. I didn't expect all this at a refuge at 1,600 meters. Will we be back? Of course, without a doubt. Great job, guys, it gives me goosebumps. Hey, Carnia, make them your point of reference.

Beautiful atmosphere, extremely kind and helpful staff. I had lunch today, Monday, September 15, 2025. They served me excellent quality meat and dessert. I'll be back as soon as I can 🦙🦙🦙🦙🦙

Excellent atmosphere, welcoming, clean, and very friendly staff. The menu is high-quality and well-explained by the refuge staff. You can dine inside or, weather permitting, outside.

The menu honors Friulian tradition with dishes surprisingly refined in preparation and presentation. We thoroughly enjoyed the selection of wild herbs and the nature trail set up by the refuge that guided us through the area. I ate the best cjarsons here, ever!

Al Fiume Stella

08/10/2025: World-class ambiance, delicious food, and absolute warmth! We stayed at the Stella several times during our vacation; it was simply fantastic! 06/10/2025: I'm probably not being objective in this case. My last visit here was in 1987. That was the last year before my parents moved the motorboat to what was then Yugoslavia. And two weeks ago, as part of my "Back to Youth" tour, I was able to visit this place again. To cut a long story short: everything surpassed my memories: a fantastic sea bass in a salt crust, preceded by a carpaccio, and finished with a sorbet. Not to mention the delicious house wine. It was a true experience.

22/09/2025: Perfect for cyclists! Secure garage, washing machine, and dryer. Super friendly host! All in all, super good!
05/09/2025: Stayed at the 38th Parallel on the Alpe Adria bike tour. I highly recommend it. It's an overall 10/10 hotel.
