Refuge reachable in less than an hour's walk from the center of Sappada. Excellent dishes and equally excellent and warm service. Recommended for quality-price ratio: €35 eating 2 starters, 3 first courses, 2 second courses, 1 dessert, 2 liters of beer, 3 coffees and 3 grappas for a total of 4 people

beautiful refuge in a wonderful setting with top-notch staff and dishes, homemade pasta, homemade cured meats and cheeses, an excellent alternative to the usual sad bed & breakfasts and fake homemade restaurants.

Nice refuge located in a panoramic position. Steep path. Along the path there are many wooden houses.

Historic refuge, intelligently modernized and managed with respect for the territory to which it belongs. Kirsten and Massimo offer a warm welcome by offering genuine dishes that respect historicity, culture and local tradition. Particular attention is reserved for children, who will be welcomed by splendid wooden sculptures, carved by master craftsmen, and depicting the spirits of the forest. The animals that "adults and children" can pet as they go up are nice and friendly. Once you reach your destination, the large panoramic terrace, in addition to the splendid view, offers the possibility of sunbathing and dining outdoors, thus enjoying flavors and aromas that only the uncontaminated air and the surrounding nature can enhance. For those who would like to experience a starry night in a refuge, praise is reserved for the internal hall and the rooms as well as for the attention to detail reserved for them.

Excellent stop after the climb, deckchairs made available by the refuge, panoramic. Very friendly staff, fair prices. The raised vegetable garden is nice with aromatic herbs and various salads. I didn't stay overnight.

Compared to previous years we were disappointed by the evident lack of staff both in the dining room and in the kitchen. Often the dishes chosen and ordered from the day's menu are no longer available, food is often not up to par due to incorrect cooking (dumplings frozen in the centre, overcooked gnocchi with pieces of tagliatelle on the same plate...) and waiting times are not adequate ( 45 minutes for the first course...). Unfortunately we also found the bill increased by 30 euros for 2 for the erroneous inclusion of two dishes which were evidently from another table... At the end of the lunch, of the vast choice of typical desserts presented at the beginning, there was almost nothing left. The staff is always very kind, the refuge is well-kept, welcoming and spotlessly clean and the view is magnificent!
