Every year we visit Monte Cucco, Plan delle Macinare. Beyond the hiking, there's a passion for good food, we go to the Rifugio Mainardi. The food is so good, you savor every dish they bring to the table. Enjoy a walk and a meal ☺️.

We were there on August 15th, so it was a bit chaotic, and for my taste, being in the mountains, there were too many people. We'll definitely be back when it's quieter. Very good food, friendly staff... maybe the prices are a little above average... but it's manageable. Try it if you want to spend a day in touch with nature 😉

There were 45 of us staying at the hotel at the end of the day... It even satisfied vegetarians... The appetizers and grilled dishes were excellent and plentiful, with baked potatoes just like grandma used to make! The staff was friendly and helpful! We'll be back.

I stayed here before tackling the long climb to the summit of Monte Cucco. The refuge has a bar and restaurant, open for lunch and dinner on weekends, and for lunch during the week, though not always. Excellent location and panoramic views from the top; tent camping is available. I'll be back.

A stunning location with a fenced lawn, accessible to all. Surrounded by beautiful beech trees. Delicious food, cooked with care, and great recommendations...excellent cheese and truffle gnocchi. Very friendly hosts, and ideal for those who want to take short, easy walks, as well as longer, more challenging ones. It's the ideal place to experience nature, surrounded by woods and grazing animals.

16/08/2025: A small but quaint place, with a few tables both indoors and outdoors. We ordered an appetizer to share and three first courses: the quality of the dishes was good, but the taste was unimpressive. Unfortunately, the kitchen was poorly organized: despite arriving and ordering before other tables, our dishes arrived very late. Furthermore, my wife was served first, leaving our daughter without a plate and forcing her to wait even longer. The price was fair (€55 for three, including an appetizer and two bottles of water), but the service could be improved.
