Rifugio Federico Chabod In Valsavarenche

On the occasion of the summit of the Gran Paradiso I stayed two days in this refuge, I'll start by saying that Marina, one of the managers, is a splendid, affable person who puts her customers at ease, absolutely excellent prices (half board 50 euros) cuisine good and plentiful with a typical rich breakfast for those who have to make a summit, an absolutely magical place immersed in the Pont valley with waterfalls, river and typical atmosphere of the Aosta valley, if I do the great paradise again this is where I will stay again

A perfect place to take refuge from the cold, very familiar. Suitable for both a hot meal and bar service. Very good lunch, the girls were very friendly to tell us some anecdotes about the place.

Simple and tasty lunch in this refuge discovered by chance, great kindness on the part of the managers and waiters, especially towards our child and his cheese-hungry mother :) excellent location in an enchanting place. Stop here!

We only stopped for lunch, friendly and helpful staff, excellent food, from high quality platters to delicious desserts! Very nice and well-kept place.

Great refuge worthy of a hotel, the staff are super friendly and attentive, we eat well, we sleep well and the shower is even in the room. I highly recommend it for trekkers looking for a good address.

TOP REFUGE!!! I had the pleasure of staying in this refuge for 2 nights and I can only say that I found everything to be of high quality. Friendly staff; single-storey structure characteristic of the place with very beautiful entrance area finished in wood and stone; well-designed welcoming rooms - with mezzanine - equipped with 10 beds; comfortable bathroom complete with all fixtures just like in a hotel. Ate typical high quality dishes from the area. Very beautiful location. Possibility to use the property's dryer. A special thank you to the owners - unfortunately I only remember the name MARINA - for how they managed the weather emergency between 4 and 5 September by keeping us in the refuge without making us miss anything. The spelled soup really warmed my heart. I recommend it to everyone and, if I have the opportunity, I will be happy to return.

An easy nature walk leads to this refuge, bar, restaurant. The place is wonderful and has also become a place for ceremonies. Places available to stay overnight perhaps as a starting point for excursions to Gran Paradiso.

Beautifully situated hut beneath Gran Paradiso. Comfortable beds in bunk rooms, electric power, hot showers, clean flushing toilets, great drying room, good food and friendly helpful staff. Nice and warm.
