One of the places I visit every winter Where you must definitely take skis Come down after seeing the sunset from the top There are many other passes, and Cortina alone has many spots, but it is a must-see in Cortina anyway.

This is a lovely little place right by the main gondola to the ski area. The food is a kind of canteen style which is good as you can see what you're getting and as its self servive ypu dont get hit with the 3.50 euro service charge. The prices are clearly labelled on the wall. The food was divine. Prices ok for a mountain restaurant and taste excelled our hotel by miles. Gorgeous views and a stunning sun spot for a sneaky beer or two before the last cable car down. Friendly staff.

I happened to stop by this place while on a free trip to Cortina Dambecho. Even though it is an observatory, you can enjoy drinks at a reasonable price. A system where you have to hand over the receipt to the desk after payment to get a drink. Hot chocolate seems to be a popular product among Koreans. I had hot chocolate and a glass of Dolomiti draft beer. The two together cost about 9 euros. I think I went out for a walk and sight seeing around 2 o’clock.

Excellent refuge equipped with all useful comforts after a day of skiing. Excellent quality food.

The refuge can be reached both on foot and by cable car. The restaurant has a beautiful external terrace with tables and deckchairs. Inside there is a bar well stocked with sandwiches or pizzas but if you want you can use a canteen with both hot and cold dishes. I didn't eat or stay so I'm not able to give an opinion but overall the refuge is well managed by courteous and helpful staff. I will definitely return in the summer as it is the starting point of many trails.

09/03/2025: Refuge 8 km above Cortina, surrounded by meadows and woods with LE TOFANE behind it. Beautifully furnished in reclaimed wood from an old TABIA (BAYER). Very friendly owners, very helpful and ready to recommend excellent quality dishes. Availability of 4 rooms all furnished in wood with great care and with a view of the mountains. Many thanks to Lorena. I highly recommend for a lunch or dinner in a magnificent place.
10/02/2025: Sono tanti tanti anni che torno sempre volentieri in questa magnifica baita incantata in mezzo al bosco, alla neve, alle stelle. Si mangia sempre molto bene, la terrazza di giorno è bella e allegra, la sera il ristorante è caldo e accogliente. L’altra sera oltre al tagliere sempre buono ho mangiato un ottimo filetto avvolto nello speck con una squisita salsa di funghi. Da provare i crostini con formaggio fuso e funghi.
