GOOD SOUTH TYROLEAN CUISINE IN A FRIENDLY AND WELCOMING ATMOSPHERE. PRICES ARE DECIDEDLY MILANESE, PORTIONS... WHICH COULD BE LARGER Welcome to South Torolo! This restaurant, located in the beautiful and convenient Via Cenisio area, just steps from the Fiera di Milano, immediately takes you to the Tyrolean side. I'd say more South Tyrolean: in Tyrol, the trend is to use Späzli as a side dish. Here, however, it's a first course, served with pesto. Otherwise, the specialties are interesting. Pasta dishes include the ever-present dumplings, blueberry tagliatelle, the aforementioned Späzli, long gnocchi, and more. Then, move on to the main courses, among which fillets and the ever-present roast pork shank take center stage. After the last of the "Philosophy on the Navigli" meetings, now "moved" to this area, on June 7, 2026, we stopped at this particular location for the ritual post-meeting lunch. The place is stylish, with cozy wooden furnishings. Only one girl served, seemingly hurried, then kind. But they left her alone (!!!). I saw that everyone, including me, focused on the first courses or salads. I also chose the Tyrolean Trio, with two types of dumplings and spinach and quark ravioli, on white cabbage salad. The dish is in my photo: good, definitely: but for the price of €16.50, I would have expected it to be a little bigger. Anyway, at least it was good. I saw other dishes "passing by": all looked beautiful and apparently tasted good. A friend had some excellent buckwheat tortelli: but there were only four! For dessert, of the two remaining options, I went for the strudel (the other was vanilla genato with warm raspberries), served with pear cream (or so it seemed) on the side and vanilla ice cream in a small bowl. Definitely good. Price: €8. A lot? I don't know. In the end, the bill: €3.50 cover charge (a lot, I'd say! Maybe they're paying for the scenery!), a trio of dumplings for €16.50, dessert €8. Total: €28. Water already paid for by others. If I'd had wine, I'd have come to around €35. And even with water "on my own," I'd have come to at least €30. Prices are typical of central Milan, near the Fiera. So, a bit high. Good food, small portions, unique atmosphere. Would I recommend it? Maybe: at least it's different from the usual. After a first course, you'll probably also order dessert, given the "measured" portions. So, your bill will be around 30 euros if you drink water, more if you drink wine. If you order a second course, the bill will go up, and with wine, it will be close to 40 euros. My verdict: I'd recommend it, but I wouldn't go beyond 3 stars. In any case, the place might be worth a visit. If you decide to do so, at least be prepared with the prices, and you won't have any surprises.

The kitchen lost some points: too much salt

Through a colleague, we were directed to have a quick lunch during a break from a union training course at Buzzi Hospital, at this truly beautiful and unique restaurant. To cut a long story short, we tried a mixed cured meat platter, followed by a colleague's entrée with scallops, another the lamb shank, and me and another the pork shank with baked potatoes and vegetables. Everything was truly delicious and in satisfying quantities (and to think the owner was worried we wouldn't eat everything, but obviously didn't know us), especially the pork shank, which, in my opinion, is absolutely worth trying. We paid a fair price, considering the size and overall quality of the meals served, so next time I get a chance, I plan to return to try other delicacies on their menu (it could be more varied and extensive, but a few good ones are also a good idea!).

Always a sure thing, dinner with Roman colleagues and... mountain flavors!!

Everything was excellent, especially the venison 🦌

It feels like being in a mountain hut in South Tyrol, a very welcoming, all-wood restaurant with a lovely garden and a few tables for outdoor dining. The food is excellent, with generous portions and attentive service. I had a venison steak that melted in my mouth, and the traditional cured meats and mountain cheeses were also excellent. The price is reasonable for the quality.

We were there last night. The restaurant is a dream, we ate deliciously, and the staff was incredibly kind. Thank you so much for everything. We can't wait to come back! ❤️❤️❤️

A Tyrolean restaurant just steps from Chinatown, it's beautiful, first and foremost, with its mountain cabin-style decor, and secondly, excellent for the quality of its dishes. Friendly and reasonably quick service, though prices are perhaps a bit high considering we're not in the city center.
