Rifugio 2000 In Sappada

Excellent food, breathtaking views, friendly people. A lovely walk from the village below, both in winter and summer.

I reached it via the well-groomed forest road, taking an hour's walk uphill (steep). The walk was in the silence of the forest. Once I arrived, I didn't want to leave: the view was wonderful, the owner was friendly, the waitress was kind, and the menu was traditional and authentic. I ate excellent polenta and frigo. I descended via the path, which seemed much less steep. It's not very well-traveled, so crampons were fine for me because the snow was icy. I dream of staying overnight at Monte Ferro one day. The farmhouse is in a great location, and the view was enchanting. The rooms are beautiful, warm, and equipped with every comfort. The very kind and helpful staff, combined with excellent traditional cuisine, made our vacation a dream! Thank you 💚 I recommend it and we'll be back.

A truly wonderful refuge, with kind people who are passionate about their work, which is rare these days. It's an incredible place with breathtaking views. You definitely need to try a weekend experience because the rooms are beautiful. The highlight is the traditional cuisine. I recommend going there and not missing out on this wonderful opportunity.

Excellent food and a beautiful location... Shame about the management... Unpolite responses and biblical waiting times due to the willfulness and dizziness of the lady taking orders! A bottle of water arrived after 40 minutes, and the order was taken after 50!

A welcoming retreat with a spectacular view of the Sappada valley. Easily accessible on foot. The rooms are immaculately maintained, each with its own style. Another highlight is undoubtedly the cuisine! Excellent dishes! The staff are friendly and helpful...you feel right at home. We'll definitely be back.

Beautiful walk to get there. Be careful, it is quite uphill, so absolutely no strollers. From there a splendid view, friendly managers.

My wife and I just spent a wonderful night at this refuge. The hospitality was worthy of a luxury hotel! The refuge is easily accessible on foot, even with children, in about an hour's walk. You can choose between two routes: one via the old downhill slope and one from the center of Sappada, which I found more pleasant. At the refuge, you're welcomed by kind people who immediately make you feel at ease. The rooms are splendid, new, and tastefully renovated. Not to be overlooked is the fact that they all have bathrooms with showers, something that other, much more prestigious refuges don't have... Dinner was truly delicious, prepared by expert hands and served by highly qualified and attentive staff. Their desserts, too... A feast for the senses! Breakfast is a buffet, and at the table you can choose between a savory or sweet breakfast, all made with local and genuine products. Not to be underestimated is the fact that, if necessary, the managers are available to shuttle you up the mountain by car upon request and by prior arrangement, and in case of deep snow, even by snowcat! I conclude by thanking all the refuge staff for their great hospitality! Thank you very much.
