.....had lunch at the "President" ✓ The staff of the historic Stellato restaurant in Pompeii welcomed us in an elegant location, which made us feel pampered and appreciated! A menu full of ideas and flavours, paired with divine wines. Laila and her dining room staff were fantastic! Not to mention the histrionic Chef Paolo Gramaglia.....his dishes are works of taste! thank you and see you soon❤️ you are fantastic

Dinner for two. We felt pampered right from the booking when the restaurant was on holiday and they still responded to us and privileged to have contacted them. Intimate atmosphere and warm room service who really looked after us as if we were the most important guests, even though we were just ordinary customers. Excellent food, wine pairing that played on combinations that were absolutely not obvious (the welcome Franciacorta on the mise en bouche and the French rosé were particularly appreciated). Total praise for the spreadable oil, AMAZING preparation! The chef was keen to explain to us how much research was behind it and it's a good thing, because it's one of those things that strikes you and pushes you to want to know more. At the end of the evening we also had the pleasure of sharing the last glass with him. A truly great experience, absolutely recommended.

Pranzo domenicale in questo intimo ed elegante ristorante nel centro di Pompei. Siamo stati accolti calorosamente dalla gentilissima proprietaria (moglie dello chef). In sala anche un cameriere educatissimo e molto professionale. Menú del territorio con qualche variazione esotica ma pur sempre di gusto casalingo. Tra amouse bouche, antipasti, primi, secondi, pre dessert, dolci, coccole finali, ci hanno veramente viziato, lasciandoci andare via con un bellissimo ricordo. Il cuoco e’ anche venuto al tavolo per fare due chiacchiere con noi. Abbiamo apprezzato molto questo momento così abbiamo potuto scoprire che e’ veramente una persona squisita come lo sono anche i suoi piatti. Stella Michelin meritatissima. Da ritornarci!!

Myself, my wife and my young daughter came here recently and the food was amazing! They were so kind in accommodating my young daughter with her own special food. The staff were all so friendly and welcoming. We were the only ones here which was a shame as it was so amazing. The food was great and so unique. Would definitely recommend to others to check it out.

I had lunch at President with my 11 year old daughter, to give us an experience to have together and to remember, and it was exactly like that. It was like taking a journey through time and space, pampered by the loving care of the chef and his wife Laila, who accompanied us on our journey, guiding us through the folds of history and flavours. The staff is very professional, as happens in every starred restaurant, however here I also noticed an extreme care for the interpersonal relationship with the customer, which made us feel welcomed and accompanied the entire time. Looking at the other tables, I can say that at the center of the President there is the customer, each customer, who does not feel like just a number, as can happen in fine dining. Moving on to the dishes, we crossed the centuries, breaking the sigilium bread accompanied by a very delicate buffalo milk butter and a tasty satura, finding ourselves in a thermopolium of ancient Pompeii. We crossed space, landing in the eastern Mediterranean with the grouper, a perfect example of a very successful contamination that enhances local flavors. My daughter loved the sumac powder and got mine too. Fusilloni are a pure concentrate of fish cuisine, in which the sea comes into its own in every bite. I can't express the delight of savory custard in words, you have to try it. However, in my opinion, you cannot leave the President without having tasted the artichoke, a truly unique experience. I recommend closing your eyes when the dish arrives, so the aroma of smoking will catapult you into an alley in the Vesuvian hinterland on a Sunday during the Easter period, when the air is invaded by the delicious scent of artichokes roasting on the ovens. Then, putting the whole artichoke with all its filling in your mouth gives you the sensation of savoring the delights of our Easter tradition all at once and all together. Finally, the President greeted us with the warm embrace of chocolate in different consistencies (and here too my daughter brushed her plate and half of mine), leaving us ecstatic and grateful to the chef, Mrs. Laila and all the staff. In short, it was really like taking a journey together, moving just a few kilometers and bringing back with us emotions that we will remember forever.

A real culinary experience! A taste explosion but also a visual one because, yes, the chef was able to create an atmosphere around the volcano. A nice surprise in any case, I recommend.

Chef Paolo Gramaglia, his wife Laila with Alessio, represent the Guarantee, more than the "Red" who awarded them the star way back in 2015. I won't tell you about them, that will be your discovery to experience in a personal way, but I invite you to get to know them. One evening at the end of September we booked by chance, and since then we have returned several times, especially for special occasions, in which the chef, assisted by his staff, created an "ad personam" menu for us.....THANK YOU so much exist!!! Pompeii is worth the trip, the President too!

Il personale è accogliente e lo chef merita anche una seconda stella. L’entusiasmo che ha nel cucinare si avverte nei piatti che sono pieni di emozioni dall’aperitivo al dolce. È venuto al tavolo e quando ha saputo che non mangiavo i peperoni ha cambiato un piatto della degustazione per me e non so come ha scelto la cosa che più amo! Tutto speciale ma il maialino ed il carciofo meritano un dieci e lode. Mi hanno fatto spegnere la candelina sul dolce e mi hanno omaggiato con una rosa. Spero che non smetta mai di cucinare perché regala alle persone emozioni uniche.
