Flavors that could be found in every single ingredient and the wine was top-notch.

What can I say about Chef Paolo? We could have stayed there listening to him for hours between one dish and the next.

When haute cuisine uses love, the result is unique. Paolo Gramaglia is not only a great chef, he is a great artist who skillfully creates works of art with simple ingredients. His art impressed me; in eight courses (actually nine because I couldn't leave out the egg), we had totally different culinary experiences that nevertheless remain etched in my memory. The artichoke (which I normally don't like) literally impressed me with its unique, INDESCRIBABLE taste. The egg, which I adore, I ate for the first time without anything else: just it, until the obligatory final mopping up. It's not a restaurant for everyone (and I'm not speaking from an economic point of view, of course) because in many starred restaurants these days (except those in Campania) they carry out daring experiments to demonstrate some inventiveness, but mainly they prefer to experiment with marketing techniques to fill the rooms and therefore have a clientele more interested in making a good impression than in enjoying delicacies, but not at The President. At The Presidente there is an artistic atelier without particular frills where you go simply to travel with your palate and your mind.

The first time, the best! They made me feel like family, they made sure everything was impeccable. They made me get closer and experience the local culture. The food was made with a lot of love, which I felt in every sip. Thank you to the team and the chef Paolo for this experience and for the patience they had. Everything they did was, is and will be art. I can only recommend this restaurant to everyone. For me it remains something of the soul, which I will definitely want to share with my loved ones❤️🙏

During our stay in Pompeii we dined in this restaurant which truly deserves its Michelin star: the tasty menu with a perfect wine pairing and the chef's visit at the end of the dinner convinced us.

The chef is a charming guy, and his dishes perfectly convey a carefully crafted culinary journey. The dining room was served admirably by a mother and daughter, who deserve compliments for their hospitality. Recommended.

We chose the tasting menu "The journey", a journey through smells, colors, aromas, flavors of worlds near and far, of history and culture, of harmony and beauty. And when you get to the end, you already know that you will return because that "journey" cannot be forgotten. Nous avons passé une incroyable soirée en amoureux au Ristaurante Président. Laila et Paolo nous ont contactés à l’avance pour connaître nos restrictions alimentaires et confirmer notre réservation, le tout avec chaleur et bienveillance. L’accueil et le service attentif de Laila durant notre repas était impeccable, de même que l’ensemble des plats servis. Nous avons pu rencontrer le chef Paolo, un homme passionné ! Nous avons pris le repas complet (10 services) ainsi qu’un accord met-vin à partager et avons apprécié l’ensemble de la carte qui combinait des inspirations étrangères avec des aliments typiques du Pompeï antique et de la Campanie actuelle.
Le génie de ce restaurant se retrouve autant dans la cuisine de Paolo que dans le service et les vins de Laila.
C’est une expérience exceptionnelle que je recommande à toutes et tous.

La cocina apasionadamente preparada, deliciosa y bellamente presentada del chef Paolo junto con la cálida y agraciada hospitalidad de su esposa Laila es verdaderamente merecedora de una estrella Michelin. Restaurante President es el lugar perfecto para cenar después de visitar las ruinas de Pompeya. Uno de los pocos restaurantes Michelin abiertos para el almuerzo era realmente un placer. ¡No puedo visitar de nuevo!
