It's not often that a Michelin-starred dinner manages to combine sublime technique with such an authentic welcome. To celebrate a special birthday, we chose Chef Gramaglia's cuisine, and the experience far exceeded our expectations. The welcome and the atmosphere From the moment we entered, we were greeted by the Chef's wife, an extremely professional figure who immediately put us at ease. The ambiance is meticulously crafted, elegant yet with a touch of warmth that makes you feel "at home," making the experience almost familiar despite the exceptionally high level of service. The gastronomic journey From aperitif to dessert, every step was a crescendo of flavors. The quality of the ingredients is unquestionable, but it's the Chef's skill that makes the difference: The Egg: Simply unforgettable. A balance of textures and temperatures that remains etched in the memory. The Fusillone: ​​It left us literally speechless; a dish worth the trip alone. The Human Touch The real added value was meeting Chef Gramaglia. He's a wonderful person with a rare warmth; chatting with him after the meal was an extremely pleasant moment that further enriched our day. In summary: An experience I highly recommend to anyone looking for more than just "luxury food"—a true experience. Celebrating my birthday here was the best choice for creating memories tied to fantastic flavors.

Thank you for making such a special day for us, our anniversary, unforgettable, for the special welcome you gave us, and the elegant and relaxing atmosphere that accompanied us throughout the meal. Mrs. Laila was the perfect hostess, and Chef Paolo Gramaglia was superb, surprising us from the first course to the last with dishes that were beautiful to look at but, above all, incredibly delicious. We will definitely return and recommend the President restaurant to anyone who wants to feel at home while savoring unique and exquisite dishes, the result of a combination of the best Neapolitan tradition with the flavors and aromas of distant lands. My family and I dined here in August 2024 after visiting Pompeii earlier that day, and the experience felt like a continuation of the city’s rich history told through food. From the moment we arrived, we felt immersed in both the past and present, and genuinely well cared for. The staff were exceptionally kind and thoughtful, offering insight into the inspiration and intention behind each dish. Every course felt purposeful and beautifully composed, with elements that complemented one another seamlessly. Each plate felt like an exploration of the chef’s mind, and the personal touches throughout the meal were unforgettable. By the end of the evening, it was clear this was not just a meal, but a true experience. It went far beyond ingredients and recipes. This was also my family’s first Michelin experience, and it set the bar incredibly high. After the meal, we realized we had missed our train. As the scheduler for our group, I was distraught and worried we might miss our cruise departure. While I quietly searched for alternatives, Laila, the co owner and wife of Chef Paolo, noticed my distress and asked what was wrong. She immediately explained there were no taxis nearby, boxed up our dessert, and insisted on driving us herself to the train station. We were speechless. Her generosity and kindness meant more to us than she could know. This review is long overdue, but I am proud to recommend this restaurant to anyone. The food alone was spectacular, but the warmth and humanity shown by Laila and her family elevated it into something truly unforgettable. We will never forget you!!

From the way it's presented, I would have expected a little more. Let's start with the outside: it's a small, average-sized restaurant, and when I went, you couldn't even see it because it was hidden by external scaffolding. The food is good, but nothing spectacular you'd expect from a Michelin-starred restaurant. The prices are high, despite it being a Michelin-starred establishment.

Today, thanks to our daughter, who gave us a culinary journey at the President restaurant in Pompeii, we had a wonderful experience. We were welcomed by Mrs. Laila with kindness and grace, who accompanied us throughout the lunch, introducing us to each dish prepared by the chef. Living proof that Chef Paolo Gramaglia's Michelin star isn't a whim, but a guarantee. The cuisine combines impeccable technique and profound local flavors, with dishes that express Campania without ever falling into the predictable. Attentive service, an elegant dining room, and a gastronomic journey that flows like a well-written story. An experience worth the trip—and one that will remain fondly remembered. The chef, along with Adriano and his wife, took us on a journey with the flavors he infused into every dish. Flavors that could be found in every single ingredient and the wine was top-notch. Exceptional hospitality and always attentive to our needs. What can I say about Chef Paolo? We could have stayed there listening to him for hours between one dish and the next. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

When haute cuisine uses love, the result is unique. Paolo Gramaglia is not only a great chef, he is a great artist who skillfully creates works of art with simple ingredients. His art impressed me; in eight courses (actually nine because I couldn't leave out the egg), we had totally different culinary experiences that nevertheless remain etched in my memory. The artichoke (which I normally don't like) literally impressed me with its unique, INDESCRIBABLE taste. The egg, which I adore, I ate for the first time without anything else: just it, until the obligatory final mopping up. It's not a restaurant for everyone (and I'm not speaking from an economic point of view, of course) because in many starred restaurants these days (except those in Campania) they carry out daring experiments to demonstrate some inventiveness, but mainly they prefer to experiment with marketing techniques to fill the rooms and therefore have a clientele more interested in making a good impression than in enjoying delicacies, but not at The President. At The Presidente there is an artistic atelier without particular frills where you go simply to travel with your palate and your mind.
