Re Tartù In Montefalco

Excellent, from the dishes to the service. I recommend.

After a very disappointing evening due to issues external to the restaurant we found refreshment and happiness in this place. The staff was nothing short of kind and attentive enough to seat us at 10.30pm and serve us even though the place had to close at 11pm. Super friendly and nice dining room staff. Highly approved place. King Tartu and "the Round Table" super approved

During the week we were on holiday in Montefalco we visited several restaurants, we went to Re Tartu since we love truffles. Very beautiful location, so was the wine list, we ate very well, we didn't eat the dessert which must have been very good (we saw them go by) because our dinner lasted an eternity, between one dish and another 40/ 45 minute wait. Impatient at the arrival of the second course (very good), I got up and went to pay. To review the room service was not up to par, it seemed that my wife and I were transparent!!!!!

Gezellig restaurant in de winkelstraat met apart terras buiten en benden en bovenetage binnen. Heel veel wijnflesssen aan de wanden. Eten is heel goed, waaronder de aardappelpuree met eidooier, parmezaan en natuurlijk truffel. Eend en lam ook smakelijk. Het vanille-ijs met pistache crumble en truffel een heerlijk toetje. Aardige bediening.

Met vrienden gaan dineren in dit mooi etablissement. Top bediening door gedienstig en vriendelijk personeel. Zeer lekkere keuken op gastronomisch niveau. Topwijnen. Wij hebben genoten van begin tot einde. Sympathieke chef.

I rarely write reviews, but today's visit made it a must. After a last-second detour, we arrive in Montefalco, right around lunch time, and find this little place in the historic center. Without having booked, they still let us sit right away, and we prefer to eat inside rather than at the outside tables, given the high temperatures: never was a more appropriate choice! The place is not very large, but attention has been paid to every detail. Although they focus a lot on catering, the original concept (that of the wine shop) is not lost and you eat surrounded by bottles, mainly Umbrian. The guideline of the wine shop can also be found above all in the wine list: one of the most well-stocked I have ever seen, with a focus on local wines for all tastes and budgets. As for the food, the proposals are very interesting but we went for the classic, I have to say everything was good. The service is impeccable: it's nice to see how a staff of young people is so professional and prepared. A special thanks to Niccolò, the boy who followed us, really good. For the record, I found the bill to be proportionate to what we ate and the beauty of the place. I honestly hope to eat there again!

What a lovely surprise a very classy restaurant. This time too the inspectors of the unfortunate red team fell asleep. But I really don't know which restaurants they visit. It is a true oasis of great cuisine. Elegance. Friendly service and incredible selection of wines with really low prices. Sagrantino di Villa Mongalli 2005 is unbeatable at that price. Best knife-cut ham I've tasted in months. And what about the truffle?? Thanks for a great lunch. Definitely see you next time. Cheers

Lovely experience @ Re Tartu in Montefalco, Umbria. An absolute treat. Recommended by a friend (Massimo) and fellow vinophile in Spoleto for a lovely dinner location and food / service. It was just perfect. We were a party of 6 adults and we thoroughly enjoyed yourselves. Enjoyed a magnum bottle of Montefalco Sagrantino (100% Sagrantino grape) and also some Montefalco Sagrantino Passito. The special of the night was "black Umbrian tartufo". Excellent evening and the food and service were just fantastic. Highly recommended. We spent ~€67 / person (including wine and dessert).
