Re Lazzarone In Napoli

We went in quite hungry and left with very positive reviews. 😄 The best thing about the restaurant, without a doubt, is the atmosphere. The decor is very tasteful, the place is cool and airy (something that's appreciated in Naples), and the location is perfect, right next to the Archaeological Museum. As for the food, I think it could be a little better. The pasta was so understated it practically had to be passed around the table. The goat cheese had good flavor, but the inside was a bit dry. And the beef tartare arrived with a very plain flavor… perhaps too plain: a little dressing would have been wonderful, and the portion size left us wanting a couple more spoonfuls. The service was adequate, nothing special, but it did the job. In short, it's a place I would go back to for the atmosphere and the location. If the cuisine takes a small step forward, it could become a highly recommended stop.

Fantastic family dinner (with a 1-year-old in tow). ​The staff is impeccable: professional, friendly, and never intrusive. They took wonderful care of our son (they even gave him a toy car to play with), allowing us to enjoy the evening in complete relaxation. ​The highest quality gourmet food, beautifully executed. Perfectly cooked octopus and the gazpacho with scallops was simply divine. ​Warm service, excellent ingredients, and a wonderful memory. Highly recommended, we'll definitely be back!

We found this place by chance and were very pleasantly surprised, not only by the service, which was truly amazing, but also by the food, which was so delicious. I highly recommend it. If you come to Naples, definitely add it to your list.

This was an incredible dinner and blew us away. Peppe served us all night and was the best host, giving great advice on food suggestions and wine recommendations. His service was unmatched. It’s an unassuming location with incredible food and a beautiful setting inside. If you’re looking for a hidden gem and the quality of a high end restaurant, I would absolutely recommend here. My friend got sick after eating the beef rigatoni. Halfway through his meal, he stopped because he felt nauseous and vomited everything up when he got back to the apartment. Perhaps we were just unlucky. It was a bad experience for us. However, the service was very good, and the pasta with porcini mushrooms was excellent too.
