Re Ferdinando II In Gaeta

This place is quite an oasis among the touristic circle of Gaeta. Where other places in this city are insanely rising prices offering mediocre food, this place is offering good plates at affordable prices, exactly what you expect as a resident in this city. Service is fast and the ambient is good. It also has an external space that must be delightful in spring/summer.

Restaurant a little dated in decor but good food

I'll start the review by saying that the owner was very kind and helpful. I had the opportunity to eat cuttlefish ink risotto and a fried dish. Both very tasty. I consider the portions to be fair: not excessive enough to make it impossible to finish lunch, nor so small enough to make you get up to the table hungry.

Hospitality and good food, try the spaghetti with clams and yellow cherry tomatoes, you won't regret trying it

We came due to a recommendation from a stranger. Service was great, wine selection was nice. Food was mediocre. Maybe we had high expectations with how much the gentleman talked it up. Fish was fresh but not descaled so every bite we were having to pull out scales from our mouth, sold with a red sauce that was not present, eggplant parm was very smoky, seafood pasta was okay. For the price, definitely expected more. We skipped desert and left sooner than expected due to the dogs on the patio barking every time someone walked in or walked by which was quite frustrating. Obviously the owner of the dogs are at fault for having poorly trained animals but possibly having a restriction against dogs dining to help with the atmosphere would be recommended.

My wife and I had dinner in the restaurant in August and we found an excellent welcome and we enjoyed the various typical dishes. Highly recommended

Durante la visita della città ci siamo fermati a pranzare in questo locale sul lungomare. Con noi anche due commensali vegani. Posso recensire solo i primi, perché non abbiamo mangiato altro. Preso: fettuccine Re Ferdinando, paccheri con ricciola e pomodorini, spaghetti alle vongole, gnocchi alla sorrentina e un piatto di verdure e tiella. Personale molto professionale e gentile. Tutto veramente OTTIMO. Qualità prezzo ottimo Consigliatissimo

Abbiamo scelto per caso questo ristorante e siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti sia perché abbiamo scoperto che ha una discreta scelta per vegani sia perché abbiamo mangiato molto bene ad un prezzo molto buono. Proprietari e personale molto gentili e preparati.
