I was expecting better food. Huge portions of 10-layer lasagna with 80% béchamel. Chicken cacciatore was quite overcooked and dry inside. Roast potatoes were unsightly. Boiled meats. Tables were too close to each other. Average wait. Bill was 90 euros for three adults and a child. Three full menus and a first course for the child with purified water (I hope) and a Fanta. I won't be back. Fettuccine with meat sauce was a little sweet but good.

A trattoria from another era, hospitable and welcoming, with typical, traditional, and plentiful dishes. Delicious!!! Compliments to the manager and staff!!!

Great restaurant in the heart of the Chianti. Outdoor seating, wine, food menu and service are 5 STAR. The only disappointment were the Lamb Chops - "my bad" - eat beef or wild boar in Tuscany!

Delicious. Pure Italian cuisine. All dishes are priced the same. The man was incredibly friendly and spoke English. Highly recommended. Reservations are required.

“La rana” è una di quelle trattorie ormai quasi introvabili nelle città emiliane. Cucina tradizionale e genuina, prezzi onestissimi. Torneremo sicuramente!

La zona non lesina i ristoranti stellati ma se cerchi una trattoria come una volta la Rana è una scelta sicura. Cibo semplice ma genuino; se cercate un menù con mille piatti andate da un'altra parte. Piatti selezionati ma ottimi. Servizio eccellente e cortesia. Da tornarci sempre.

15/09/2025: Friendly and helpful staff, good food, generous portions, excellent value. Highly recommended.
13/09/2025: After visiting the center of Castelvetro and Levizzano Castle 🏰 in the morning, we arrived (snooping online 🧑🏻‍💻) at Ustaria Tre Valli for something to eat around 1:00 PM 🕐. Once inside, we were greeted very warmly by a kind lady 👩🏻 who showed us to our table. After ordering drinks (water 💧 was already included in the cover charge 🍴), we were brought a pleasant appetizer, free of charge, of fried gnocco 🥯 and cured meats 🥓. The first courses 🍝 were very good, as well as plentiful (tortelli neri ⚫ and rice 🍚 4 formaggi 🧀 with balsamic vinegar, in our case). Worthy of note is the great variety, especially of first courses, on the menu 📋. Truly excellent value for money 👌 for this great place, which I definitely recommend 👍. Finally, it's also conveniently located 🧭 for continuing your journey 🚘 to discover the Modena province, perhaps heading to Vignola.
