Attentive staff. Beautiful decor. Conveniently located to all. The free coffee in the morning was not good.

Truly a wonderful experience. One of the best locations and offerings Florence has. My wife and I visited while on our honeymoon for one night. Carolina at the front desk helped us with a breathtaking room overlooking the river. You could tell she enjoys her job and cares about how her guests enjoy the experience. Also Iacopo with concierge helped us plan an entire itinerary. He could tell my wife was concerned about limited time and helped with this without her even asking. Greatly appreciate the team at Westin!

It's well located and really beautiful. The rooms are big and the AC works just fine.

We had an amazing stay here in August. Service was top notch. Hotel was beautiful. Close to everything! As a platinum member of Marriott we were upgraded to a junior suite at check in which was appreciated. My son has a severe egg allergy and the staff went above and beyond making sure everything was safe for him! Moreno, at breakfast, knew about his allergy before we even told him about needing extra care with our food. Talk about service!!!! He remembered our order each morning for my son - as they had to get food from the back kitchen to avoid cross contact. He was always so kind and helpful! We truly appreciated his service each day! We utilized room service a lot too and they were excellent - from the staff who took our order to the waiters who dropped off our food, everyone verified the food was without egg even without us asking. The concierge was excellent as well helping to arrange tours for us. We will recommend this hotel to anyone we know staying in Florence. The service the staff delivered makes us want to come back to Florence just to stay here again! Thank you so much, Westin Excelsior!!

Even though I booked it last minute, I was upgraded to a very nice room! When I told them about my birthday through the chat function on the Marriott Bonvoy page, I was given a wonderful gift of champagne and snacks, and a room with a patio was prepared for me. As a Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Elite benefit, you can choose whether to include breakfast or receive points at check-in. The gym is located by walking to the back of the first floor, opening the door, and going down the stairs. Toilet, shower, towels, water, and amenities were provided! Good workout equipment too! The rooftop bar was closed due to construction, but we had a great time listening to live piano music in the evening from the restaurant near the reception! Having a separate bathtub and shower is great! I was disappointed that there was no coffee maker in the room, but everything else was great! ! Amenities include slippers, bathrobe, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, body cream, mouthwash, and bidet cleaning liquid. Ambra at the front desk was great! Thank you for the wonderful stay!

What a beautiful hotel with river views (for some rooms). Perfectly located in the area of town that allows you to walk to many of the attractions. Service is of the utmost importance here and is noticeable. The bar here is highly recommended. They also have a rooftop bar!

If you are considering booking the Westin in Florence think again we are in house guests, currently stayed in a room with major foul smell..the reception was amazing and she was very flexible and moved us to another room. The new room the air conditioning does not work..it is plus 40 degrees in Florence because of the heat wave and we are in a hot room. For the amount you pay for a 5 star hotel you expect at least the minimum. This would mean changing room every night during a short 3 night stay...ver frustrated. Please keep in mind this is a review done by an Ambassador Elite member who understands the Marriott level of service..unfortunately this hotel fails drastically. It really needs a major improvement, the staff are amazing but the historic building is falling apart!

To be renovated...but beautiful and in an excellent location. Normal food.
