Pummarò In Pienza

I went there once to eat with friends and I had a good time. We ordered two pizzas, one 'cacio e pepe' and one fantasy, with personal choices. Both good but not exquisite. The pizzas are "Neapolitan" style, and of excellent dough. However, they do not stand out in terms of flavour. The one had a little more cheese and pepper, but the other, also having a salami on top, remained quite anonymous. According to the prices, I can say that they are quite touristy. More than €10 per pizza. The service was very fast and the staff was friendly. The place is cute and small. It has tables both outside and inside. It is located just a few steps from the historic center of the beautiful Pienza, i.e. immediately after the main entrance of the village.

The Napoli pizza was so good. The mixed salad was fresh. The place was bustling during that time. Around 3pm on a weekday. So expect some wait.

Very delicious pizzas, the calzone lacked a little content for my taste, but the dough was great. An excellent option for dinner in Pienza.

The fresh pizza was really delicious. It was a shame that the dough wasn't Neapolitan-style chewy dough, but the taste itself was better than anything I've had in other cities in Italy. The man kept my menu ready so I could get it quickly, and the bathroom was also clean.

Very good pizza! Good quality ingredients, tasty tomato sauce and thin, crispy dough. The service was friendly, the prices were a bit high for pizza.

Delicious pizza! This place is a gem!

A small pizzeria right at the city gate of Pienza. Unfortunately, there are not many places where you can eat something in the evening without a reservation. That's how Pizzeria Pummaro turned out and it wasn't a disappointment. The pizza has a thick base and crispy edges. Lots of tomato and mozzarella. The prices are a bit high but it's better that way and it tastes cheap and it's not edible! However, a glass of wine at 9.00 euros is far too high for a pizzeria. I get 2 bottles for this in the supermarket. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Would I eat here again? Yes I would, but I wouldn't drink wine ;-)

Small pizzeria located just entering the historic center of Pienza. Even if the location is small, the pizzas are really good with a surprisingly digestible dough. Professional and courteous staff.
