The best. It surpasses ALL the deli meats in the supermarkets: in fact, you won't find it in the malls. Hams hung on wooden scaffolding like they have been for thousands of years. Go there. Money well spent. They also have other good deli meats, but the prosciutto crudo is beyond.

During a cultural tour, we had the pleasure of visiting the Prosciuttificio Il Camarin: an authentic and flavorful experience! Sergio and his mother welcomed us warmly, passionately sharing the history and production of their products. The hams were exceptional and the atmosphere was family-friendly. First, notice the row of native mulberry trees at the entrance, then a truly kind and hospitable person leads you into a small shop where you can find slices of prosciutto and packs of cured meats. The price is excellent, and if you're new to this product, I highly recommend it.

Ham from San Daniele – well, it's known worldwide and truly an absolute specialty, and it's really interesting to take a look behind the scenes. Here, you'll be explained how ham production works and what is necessary to create such a specialty. Of course, there's also a tasting so you can convince yourself of the quality. At the end, as usual, you have the opportunity to take a small or larger piece of ham home with you directly from the producer :). It's definitely worth a look and is almost a must. More family-run ham company, part of the San Daniele DOP circuit and Consortium. The company is divided into the production, conservation, sales department and then there is the tasting/catering part. The owners are wonderful and kind people, they will explain to you perfectly what San Daniele is and will welcome you with a smile. Absolutely worth visiting, highly recommended.
