An intimate restaurant in the center of Varese. The menu is varied and offers plenty of choices, especially the risottos, which are excellent.

I had dinner at this restaurant and I must say the food was truly excellent. The dishes were carefully prepared, and you could taste the quality of the ingredients. The waiters were also friendly and professional throughout the evening. The only negative note concerns the closing time. We had a 9:30 PM reservation, and around 11:30 PM the owner told us they were closing, even though there were still a few tables occupied. This was a bit unpleasant, especially since someone at our table was still drinking the amaro and we hadn't quite finished our meal yet. It's a shame about this incident, because otherwise the experience was positive. With a little more attentive customer service, it would truly be a perfect place.

Excellent risotto. Nice atmosphere.

At the recommendation of friends, we went to the restaurant for a family lunch. After falling down the stairs due to the lack of non-slip treads, which on rainy days (like ours) are obviously very dangerous, we settled in this charming location reminiscent of a vintage cellar. As soon as we were seated, we were immediately served water and the usual, but not particularly impressive, bread. We started with a nice platter of cured meats, cheeses, and accompanying sauces as an appetizer. After a long wait, our four risottos arrived, all very good. To finish, we had crème brûlée and tarte tatin, both excellent, accompanied by a good coffee. Overall, the prices were reasonable. If you're looking for a place that makes excellent risottos, don't hesitate to stop here. We'll be back to try the gnocchi too (hoping this time we don't fall down the stairs).

Truly special food. Obviously the highlight is the gnocchi, seasoned in a variety of ways. All excellent. Other dishes are excellent and superbly seasoned. The place is very quaint and, above all, clean. The staff is fast, knowledgeable, and friendly. If you're in Varese, it's worth a visit. Reservations are recommended.

I went to Risotteria in search of an excellent risotto, but thanks to their menu, I actually managed to try three. I tried the trio of risottos with saffron and culatello, Castelmagno and truffle butter, and another with hazelnuts and apple, and I found them delicious (the first was a bit salty, but that's a matter of taste). All with an excellent house wine and a spoonful of gorgonzola as an appetizer. We had a small mix-up with our order, but we didn't need to alert the waiters because they noticed it on their own, took action, and even apologized with a complimentary liqueur. I'm sure I'll be back not only to try other risottos, but also for the Gnoccheria. Highly recommended for anyone in the Varese area, whether you're a risotto lover or not.

Passing through Varese, I was very happy to have lunch with you. The octopus risotto was wonderful. The atmosphere was very pleasant, the service was quick and friendly. The prices were reasonable.
