The vibe of place is not great. With a few other shops or restaurants in the building already closed, one feels a bit put off. Also the courtyard is plastered with a dark grey stone, that sucks the heat in, and makes it way too hot. I was lucky, the wind was so strong... The food was partly OK, but not great. The grilled octopus was good, but the steak wasn't. It was sinewy, chewy and didn't taste good. The prices indicate a much higher value. Let's call the service unprofessional at best, lackluster and bad, if we want to be critical.

Went here before grabbing the Bernina Express. Ten out of 10 would do again. Food rocked. Wine suggestion rolled. Asked for a couple of to-go items for the train and they accommodated very nicely. One of the best meals I had in my 2 weeks in Italy!! Attentive service from great staff.

Passing through Tirano I decided to stop in this place, Insider on TheFork. Great service and delicious dishes. A place that focuses more on quality than quantity. They have a spacious terrace which is worth taking advantage of on sunny days. Recommended!

Great little eatery adjacent to the train station for us to enjoy lunch before taking the train to St. Moritz. While the restaurant opened at 11am, the kitchen doesn't open until noon, so we asked the host if there would be enough time for us to catch our 1pm train and he was gracious enough to actually welcome us in before noon and ensure that we got our food on-time. We received a puff pastry starter on the house, and they were also kind enough to plate our pasta and main course on two separate plates as my dad and I were sharing. Delicious food and very attentive servers in a lovely space - highly recommend!

Visited this place after seeing the high ratings on google. It was really worth the visit! I had the braised veal cheek in red wine sauce and it was fantastic. The veal cheek was was very flavourful and so tender it practically melted in my mouth. Didn't really taste the wine flavour, but I still enjoyed it very much. The seasonal vegetable was carrot and broccoli. The carrot was sweet and I was surprised how nice and soft the broccoli was. Wish I was staying longer in Tirano so I could try the other dishes.. If you only have time for 1 meal in Tirano, I would 10/10 recommend this place.

Positive experience, below the expectations created by other reviews. Excellent octopus, good pasta, limited and not well-chosen sparkling wine menu. Simple atmosphere and good service.

siamo nella zona pedonale di tirano, proprio davanti alla stazione da cui parte il trenino del bernina. piccolo locale, probabilmente in origine un fondo della ferrovia, condotto da lui ai fornelli e lei ai tavoli. ci siamo sistemati nel mezzanino, non invidiamo lei che va su e giu' dalle scale. abbiamo preso una battuta di scottona fatta a coltello con condimento giusto e tenerissima, risotto per 2 alla zucca, taleggio e nocciole veramente saporito. con lei abbiamo commentato la scelta dei calici: un bicchiere di nebbiolo vinificato in bianco entusiasmante scoperta, un valtellina superiore di ottimo tenore. per chiudere una grappa bianca da vinaccie locali. in 2 pex abbiamo speso 72 euro.
