A restaurant recommended by our hosts! We were surprised but not disappointed! :) We ordered an antipasto to share. And what a surprise: no fewer than 9 dishes for two, with generous portions! Huge! :D So we ordered our truffle pasta to go. This restaurant will introduce you to delicious, typical cuisine. A bonus: the service is truly friendly! Go there with your eyes closed!

We went there on a recommendation for Sunday lunch and were not disappointed. Excellent food and service. The servings are very generous so be careful when ordering. The antipasto was outstanding and the grilled lamb possibly the best I’ve ever had. The waitress was charming, obliging when we joined up two tables and most helpful with menu suggestions. Highly recommended.

We chose to have lunch at this restaurant without having booked. They welcomed us kindly and let us taste an excellent appetizer as well as a certainly tasty first course and dessert. Must try!

And I've been working at Posta Pacentrana for a while. Easter and Easter Monday this year were decidedly busy. We as staff and also owners have done our best to make this day of celebration special for all our customers. We always put maximum effort and heart into our work. I hope that despite some misunderstandings or shortcomings that may have arisen these days given the great turnout (for which we only have to thank you) we will see each other again soon. Thank you so much for choosing us in these festive days.

Had lunch yesterday at this restaurant. All positive, with the exception of the owner - a rude woman who will leave you speechless. Rude towards the customer and the staff, who are forced to serve in a hurry because there are so many customers compared to the dining room staff.

21/07/2025: Last Thursday, on the precious advice of some acquaintances, we were coming from Rome and headed towards Campo di Giove, so we decided to detour through Sulmona to treat ourselves to lunch at Taverna de li Caldora. A choice that proved to be more than spot on. The inn, deliberately discreet and devoid of flashy signs, is a hidden gem in the heart of Pacentro. The historic building exudes an authentic atmosphere reminiscent of times gone by. The quality of the products is truly excellent. The dishes convey the authentic flavor of Abruzzo tradition, with fresh, carefully selected ingredients. The grilled lamb melted in the mouth, while the sagnette with sheep's milk ricotta were rich in character and expertly balanced. The service deserves special praise: attentive, courteous, and never intrusive. The staff proved extremely attentive, with a courtesy that is not only professional, but profoundly human. Making it all the more enjoyable is the location: overlooking the Peligna Valley, it offers a splendid panorama that pleasantly complements the meal. A lunch that lived up to high expectations; if you're looking for an authentic experience, far from the tourist circuits and full of soul, this is the place. A well-deserved five stars!
