The Port of Ripetta no longer exists. A hygrometer and a fountain remain where they once stood. The port disappeared with the construction of the Tiber embankments. The small river port was built in 1704 by the architect Specchi on behalf of Pope Clement XI, which is why it was also called Porto Clementino, and served as a port for goods arriving from upper Lazio. On either side were two small columns indicating the flood levels reached by the Tiber.

The food wasnt up to the standars of the place. The price wasnt worth the food. The appetizers were not tasty at all. (Shrimps cevice and meat with tuna sauce) The waitress offered us water twice without saying that it will be charged amd we ended up paying for two waters that were probably from the sink.

This was probably the best restaurant I ate at in Rome. The olive oil they left on the table was so delicious that I wanted to bring some back to Japan, so I asked where they sold it, but they said it's not sold commercially, so I gave up on the idea of ​​buying it (I think that's what they said). I had vongole. It was the most delicious vongole I've ever had!!! Maybe the spaghetti absorbs the sauce well, because the noodles were really tasty! My son had osso buco, and my husband had spaghetti with tomato sauce. Everything was delicious!

Al Porto di Ripetta si può mangiare un ottimo pesce (anche crudo) ma non solo. L'ambiente è moderno (si mangia senza tovaglia), il personale è professionale, gentilissimo. Il conto è adeguato alla zona, e all'offerta del menù.

27/09/2025: I celebrated my 60th birthday at this beautiful location. Ilaria was a wonderful support, always kind and helpful. The welcome was very thoughtful: the lights and the pool created a wonderful atmosphere. The food was appreciated by everyone, especially the guests with allergies and special menus. The DJ was very kind, the music was captivating, and my guests really had a great time...and I even more so! Thanks to all the staff! Highly recommended.

The setting was beautiful, the staff were extremely kind and ready to accommodate guests' requests with alternative proposals, even for those with intolerances. Attention to the smallest details. The food was high quality and prepared with skill and care. What can I say? Highly recommended for events that leave a lasting impression.
