La Locanda In Fiumicino

The food was delicious. We were able to communicate perfectly well with the staff in English. The prices are really very good. The restaurant looks great inside and is pleasantly air-conditioned.

The service was extremely courteous and friendly. The portions were generous and of excellent quality. The atmosphere was pleasant.

Probably one of the best places we visited in Rome.

Yesterday I celebrated my birthday… very nice atmosphere, impeccable waiter service and not to mention the food… truly everything was excellent. See you next time

Fresh seafood piatti in a colourful al fresco setting. Their themed "Indian" bar next door offers line dancing (!) which is fun and a bit unusual.

A layover evening in Fiumicino that lead me to eating one of the most perfectly prepared Orata I’ve ever had. Unexpected and blown away! I had low expectations as I figured many tourists come to eat here since it’s close to the airport, however as it’s a coastal town and also out of the city center so I was curious and hopeful for the seafood options. Not sure about everything else on the menu but the Orata was cooked in the oven to perfection. Prepared with the oven roasted thinly sliced potatoes, crunchy and chewy, cherry tomatoes and taggiasca olives. Simply delicious!

Surprisingly, the restaurant is beautifully decorated, located in a non-touristy area frequented by locals. The dishes are delicious and generously served, and the house wine is of excellent quality. We received great service and the price was very fair.

We have been here twice first on Friday at 7pm and then the following week on a Saturday at 8pm. Service and ambience were night and day on Friday the service was attentive and perfect so much so that we booked in for Saturday, service was terrible, so much so we asked for dessert and we got blank stares and when we tried to order the server never came back there was a confusion with the second Caraft of wine order that they tried to charge us for the waitress seemed like we were more hassle that we were worth. My advice if you want to eat the tasty food go early if you english as if you go when its busy and full or locals the waiting staff basically ignore you.
