Porgi L'Altra Pancia In Avezzano

We chose this place along our trip because of its cute name. Excellent selection, especially the first courses; we chose the white lasagna with mozzarella, speck, and artichokes, it was tops! 😋 The owner was incredibly friendly, excellent value, and generous portions! Highly recommended!

Rustic place, generous portions, slightly slow service, but overall definitely worth returning.

We loved the service and the food. What was supposed to be a lucky dinner (because it was November 1st and we couldn't find anything open except this restaurant) turned out to be a wonderful experience. The owner, a very nice gentleman, added the icing on the cake to this evening :) We recommend the tonnarelli with broad beans, pecorino cheese, and guanciale!

It's located just off the highway toll booth. The restaurant is spacious with plenty of tables, and the ambiance is a bit dated, but everything is well-kept. The owner is very kind and friendly, and the menu is listed verbally, with a word to each table. The service and food are quick. We ordered: orecchiette, broccoli, and pancetta, which were delicious and plentiful, the house red wine was good, and finally, good value for money.

After a rainy drive, we parked in the parking lot near Porgi L'Altra Pancia and had a wonderful dinner across the street at Antonio and Assunta's. Two pasta dishes, one al Matriciana and another with porcini mushrooms and peas, were delicious. The tiramisu, although not homemade, was excellent nonetheless. Antonio doesn't buy anything he doesn't enjoy himself. Equipped with good tips for sightseeing in Alba Fucens, this more than compensated for a rainy day. Thank you for the lovely evening, Antonio.
