Porcavacca In Arezzo

A historic butcher shop in Arezzo. A wonderful place to enjoy an excellent selection of their own meats.

Excellent food, reasonable prices, and friendly staff. Highly recommended.

We were two couples on August 8th. We didn't make a reservation, but the outdoor seating isn't dead. I recommend booking. We saw the interior and they told us they use it for the winter. We had ribs, fillet steak, burgers, and pasta. Everything was delicious and well-cooked. The potatoes were perhaps a little salty, but you can definitely add more. The waiters were very good and the owners were friendly. The atmosphere is only 4 stars because of the insects that bothered us. Otherwise, everything would have been perfect!

We arrived at this restaurant and ate outside. We chose the house appetizer which includes a platter of cured meats and cheeses with buffalo mozzarella and focaccia and a Florentine steak... everything was very good. The only sore point was that the meat had a devil's taste, perhaps used to liven up the embers a bit.

I expected the Chianina rib steak to be a little better. It was a bit chewy in the center, but it was cooked perfectly, and so was the service. A truly unique place.

In the center of Arezzo, we found this typical Tuscan grill restaurant!!! The cured meats and steak slices are excellent!! If I were from Arezzo, it would become my go-to grill restaurant!! The staff were helpful and friendly!! Highly recommended!

Entrare da Porcavacca ad Arezzo è come fare un salto nel tempo, in una tipica osteria toscana di una volta, con un’atmosfera calda e autentica, dominata da un braciere spettacolare che accoglie gli ospiti con il profumo inconfondibile della carne cotta a regola d’arte. Abbiamo gustato un’esperienza completa: una succulenta Simmenthal, 350g di pregiato Wagyu, un tagliere ricco di salumi e formaggi locali, la classica e confortante pappa al pomodoro, un crostino con patè di fegatino da manuale, e la schiacciata calda fragrante e profumata. Il tutto chiuso in bellezza con i cantucci e vinsanto, come da tradizione. La qualità-prezzo è davvero ottima, soprattutto considerando la qualità eccellente delle materie prime e l’attenzione nella preparazione. Il personale è eccezionale, cortese e preparato, capace di consigliare e raccontare i piatti con passione. Un luogo dove si mangia davvero bene, dove la carne viene cucinata con maestria e servita con cura, in un ambiente che profuma di Toscana vera. Consigliatissimo!

Sabato 26 Aprile abbiamo cenato da Porcavacca ad Arezzo ed è stata un’esperienza davvero da ricordare. Atmosfera calda e autentica, servizio impeccabile e grande attenzione ai dettagli. Abbiamo iniziato con una degustazione di crostini, salumi e formaggi toscani, tutti di altissima qualità. Poi una costata da 1,4 kg semplicemente perfetta: carne succosa, morbida e cotta al punto giusto. Abbiamo speso 125€, un prezzo più che giusto per la qualità, l’abbondanza e la cura che abbiamo trovato. Consigliatissimo a chi ama la buona carne e cerca un posto autentico e speciale. Torneremo di sicuro!
