I expected more. Overall, the experience was just okay. Limited selection of dishes, with little or no choice for those who don't eat dairy. The carbonara was good, but I've tried better. The amatriciana was definitely a no-no.

Amazing food, lovely staff and great atmosphere!! Forgot to take a picture of the starter, but absolutely loved the bruschettone with mortadella, caramelized red onion, radish, gorgonzola cream and pistachio!

Absolutely amazing experience at Poldo e Gianna! We went twice in just four days because it was that good. Everything was perfect, from the food to the atmosphere. A special mention to our server, Ido, who was outstanding attentive, kind, and truly made the experience even better. Highly recommended, a must in Rome! 🇮🇹

Cosy place in a hidden backroad which has been beautified by many trough plants, thus making a pleasant access. The reception was remarkable friendly and the food was of excellent taste. The choice from the menue is limited, but with good variations. We had the wine from the glass, which was prime quality for 7-8 €. Overall highly recommendable, pretty full, prebooking (by internet) advisible.

A wonderful experience at this elegant osteria, serving excellent traditional Roman dishes. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Located in a quiet alleyway just steps from Piazza del Parlamento.

03/03/2026: My wife and I stopped in at this place 15 minutes before they closed and each ordered a sandwich. She ordered an Italiano and I ordered a Ghiottone and both were very good. I finished mine but she said it was too big to finish hers so she took the remaining part back to our hotel. We also each had a peroni and the place was closing before we finished our drink so they poured it into a glass and we took our beer home and I drank it on the walk back to the hotel, they mentioned that was fine to do. I recommend this place for a good sandwich.
28/02/2026: We had some very good sandwiches with quality ingredients and friendly service. I asked to remove an ingredient and the guy gave me a €1 discount, something I've never experienced before. A very welcome stop near Piazza di Spagna. Fair prices. I recommend it.

11/01/2026: An excellent restaurant, from the location to the service. All the products are fresh and authentic, and all the dishes are cooked to perfection. Added to this is the courtesy and friendliness of the owners, who are always attentive to their customers' needs.
29/12/2025: An excellent dining experience at a welcoming restaurant like Il Parco del Lago dei Reali for Christmas Lunch 2025! The atmosphere was refined, the staff and owner were courteous, and the Christmas menu featured excellent traditional dishes. A selection of excellent ingredients expertly prepared by the chef. We noticed a very careful selection for Christmas lunch, focusing on quality over quantity... A winning choice! Every course was greatly appreciated by all diners, including the pleasant and relaxing atmosphere! The wines were excellent. We'll be back to try the many dishes on offer... Excellent value! Top marks 🏅
