We were lucky to find such an amazing restaurant. Once inside we were blown away by the service and ambiance. From the wine, to the antipasto, to the main courses the attention to detail was everywhere.

My son recommended we try this restaurant while in Rome , having raved to me about the food . I guess I wax off put by being seated in the basement with zero atmosphere (this after having made a reservation 3 weeks in advance) I found the waiting staff downstairs to be junior and not that attentive for a Michelin plaque restaurant. That being said, I was underwhelmed by the food - ordered catia Pepe , my wife the cod , both arrived Luke warm (also our appetizer) . The only way to describe the presentation is ‘manufactured’. It felt not fresh but right off the assembly line. I was expecting a better calibre from Michelin recommendations.

You’re immediately welcomed by the lovely staff, who lead you straight to your table (booking a reservation is a must!). The interior is pristine and beautifully decorated. They offer a good menu selection with a nice wine list, and they’ll bring out complimentary, delicious sourdough bread and olive oil upon request. We ordered three pastas: the Carbonara, Amatriciana, and Cacio e Pepe. All of them were absolutely delicious, but the Carbonara is a standalone must-try! However, you can probably skip the tiramisu. The service is attentive, and the entire staff speaks fluent English. Needless to say, this is an exceptional restaurant and a must-visit in Rome.

Excellent Michelin-starred restaurant, very traditional Roman, in a cute alley. Nice, well worth it, fair price and excellent service. You have to make a reservation, don't make a reservation downstairs.

draw attention to the Rigatoni Carbonara, which was EXCEPTIONAL. The service could not have been better, and the atmosphere both inside of the restaurant and in the small alley leading up to it is great. I would recommend making a reservation.

01/06/2026: Much more than just a trattoria: an unconventional experience! This historic establishment on the outskirts of Rome, founded in 1944, now offers contemporary, pop cuisine that's decidedly unconventional. The experience starts strong with an excellent glass of wine, their fabulous artisanal breads, and a killer welcome: an olive stuffed with ricotta and 'nduja that wins you over at first bite. The appetizers are a journey of flavors, including a delicious fried donut with fresh chicken salad, their chicken and pepper croquettes, an original Venetian tramezzino with smoked ham, cafona-style artichokes, and old-fashioned stracchino cheese, and skewers of sweet cherry tomatoes, olives, and anchovies. The first courses will leave you speechless: the Benedetto Cavalieri crazy wheels with a robust ragù and Modica chocolate are a brilliant idea, and the 36-yolk agnolotti del plin with creamy cheese sauce are simply out of this world. The second courses are also excellent, with the "Ricordo di Parigi" (a puff pastry tart with melted meat and Parisian salad) and the classic Falsomagro with its perfect sauce. The finale is a perfect ending, leaving room for a perfectly executed zuppa inglese and their delicious petit fours. A place that combines history and innovation with incredible quality. Highly recommended!

Da Benito e Gilberto al Falco

15/05/2026: The pasta was super delicious. My English isn't great, and as the reviews said, the mussels and fried food were a bit salty, but Overall, everything was okay. If you eat it on the road, there's a slight plus in exhaust fumes.
10/04/2026: A very good place for fresh and refined cuisine, away from the crowds. The small terrace is very pleasant. We had a lovely time and received a very warm welcome.
