02/05/2026: Truly welcoming atmosphere, I love the red and white checkered tablecloths! Four of us wandering around Rome for a few days, and we found this place with a Google search in the Ottavia area. We ordered appetizers of mixed fried vegetables, stuffed zucchini flowers 😋, supplì, fried onion tarts, and pizzoncelle stuffed with cured meats. Then came pasta carbonara and amatriciana, both delicious. Even the dessert, tiramisu and chocolate cake with a warm heart, were 10/10.
When we visit a different place, we want to eat typical dishes, and in what I ate, I found flavors that are only found in Rome, because a place is also made of its flavors. Recommended for all occasions 👍

A simple, but clean and well-kept place. Red and white checked tablecloths, and you're immediately eating at grandma's: I absolutely love it.
The service is not only courteous and kind, but also friendly and cheerful (which is not at all a given).
Food:
The house-made fried food as an appetizer is good.
The stuffed pizzoncelle (coccoli for us Tuscans 😉) are also good.
Then it's time for the first courses. And here, either you're hungry and prove yourself worthy of the generous portions by tackling them with gladiator-like poise, or you'll be defeated and forgotten. Amatriciana is tough. Well-seasoned, rich in every ingredient, and delicious. The carbonara is a nice boost of pecorino and pepper, excellent cream, but it's not for the refined or delicate palate because the flavor is strong and unfussy, without any frills, but without any hints of egg, which aren't always appreciated. Would you miss out on a dessert?? Never in your life! Tiramisu made well, rich in coffee. Excellent warm chocolate heart. Good wine.
Very fair price.
If I lived in the area, I would definitely go back again and again.
Keep up the good work!!
Ps. Have you read this? Now go and eat it and you'll see it was worth it!!
