Pizzikotto In Castel maggiore

Good pizza, nice place, slow service

"Sorry for the delay but the decoration...." This was told to us after 3-5 minutes between one pizza and another, in an order of only two pizzas (all in all simple) of which the latecomer was a simple mortadella and burrata in a deep-dough pizza with a Neapolitan crust. Slow service, tables and chairs left wet after cleaning, ingredients that are not of a high standard (but there is worse) and excessively high prices considering the negative points mentioned above. Completely decarbonated drinks on tap Maybe I was too good to the stars

I have been going to the "Pizzikotto" in Castel Maggiore for a long time, really for many years and once the pizza was something sublime and the best in the world thanks to its very high digestive quality and crunchiness, but now every time I go back it is always worse. It has lost quality and I'm not the only one who says it, but also my entire family and friends. It has always been a more expensive pizza than other pizzerias, but since it was the best I was happy to spend the money, but now it is truly mediocre as a pizza. I always order pizza with tomato and oregano and if I don't say I want it with double tomato there will almost be no tomato, whereas once upon a time they didn't make so much money! Even though you order it with double tomato, the tomato is still bordering on invisible! But is it possible??? I don't think the tomato costs them that much!!!!! The service is quite unpleasant. The waiters struggle to smile and the customer seems to bother them. Furthermore, every time my family and I go to eat at the "Pizzikotto" in Castel Maggiore, we have to plan on asking for coffee at least three times before they remember to bring it. And you have to check the receipt because there is often always something more! I think we will go less often from now on. It's a shame because it was once exceptional in every way.
