We were there in the off-season. There was a lot of seaweed on the beach; it seems they clean it daily during peak season. Many houses behind the beach were still under construction. Still, it was a nice beach for a city beach. It's a lovely spot outside the city center. Almost all the sun loungers and such had been taken down. The restaurant was open and is highly recommended.

While Lido San Francesco is known for its large city beach and well-organized beach services, it's the cuisine at its evening restaurant that truly stands out. In a casual and tranquil setting, far from the tourist crowds, we enjoyed a seafood dinner that exceeded all expectations. The menu offers simple yet carefully crafted dishes, using the freshest ingredients and expertly prepared by a skilled chef. From appetizers to main courses, each course exudes authentic attention to flavor, without artifice or excess. Seafood is the absolute star: fresh, well-cooked, served with grace and without unnecessary frills. An example? The seafood scialatielli, also mentioned by other reviewers, are a small masterpiece of balance and intensity on Tripadvisor. The service is friendly and discreet, perfectly in keeping with the atmosphere of the place: no formality, but genuine attention to the customer. The seaside setting adds a poetic touch to the evening—dining with the sound of the sea in the background and the sand just steps away is a luxury that needs no ostentation.

Dinner at the Lido restaurant was wonderful. Super tasty pizzas and amazing fried calamari. Friendly staff and quick service!!!

It was a freezing Saturday night in our city, but as soon as we entered the restaurant, we found the perfect warmth. The polite, competent, and unobtrusive staff are a great asset. The food is excellent and well-prepared, making it a wonderful evening with friends. Lido San Francesco has become an icon of Bari. Kudos to Vito and Antonella (the owners) for their dedication. Nice outdoor area, €2.50 cover charge, otherwise good prices. We only had a few drinks, so I can't comment on the food quality...

You'll be transported back 100 years when you step into this large seaside pool complex. It's not exactly cheap at €25 during the week for two loungers and an umbrella, but the overall package is great.

The beach is highly recommended, especially compared to the less-than-ideal free city beach. It's safe and comfortable, with an on-site café and restaurant. It's definitely worth spending €15 for an umbrella and sun lounger for the entire day (or €25 for two sun loungers).

As far as the restaurant itself is concerned, the quality of the food is excellent. However, the staff's customer service leaves much to be desired. The head waiter made a fuss over adding a place setting to our table, while the waiters treated us condescendingly, as if they were doing us a favor.

The beach is clean, with sunbeds and umbrellas available for rent for €25. Very helpful staff.
