Pizzeria Pulcinella In Monopoli

We had dinner with some appetizers and then pizza. Reservations are recommended, especially on Saturdays. After we ordered, they brought drinks and appetizers right away, and about twenty minutes later, the pizzas. They were all good, but I highly recommend the O SOLE MIO pizza. A delicacy, try it. They are the same owners as Pulcinella in Trani. Very good value for money. Highly recommended.

To say they were great is an understatement. It was a Saturday night, 2 adults and 3 children (small, so a bit unmanageable). The place was packed, but they seated us right away. Drinks were served immediately, and after a few minutes, we had a portion of fries and a portion of fritters we'd ordered to nibble on! A table in front of the oven allowed us to enjoy the view and the love and commitment they put into their work. Shortly after, the pizza arrived... delicious! It was cooked perfectly despite being a somewhat critical time, and that alone shows they know their job well. Crispy but not dry, with top-quality ingredients and just the right amount... delicious even though it's just a Margherita and Marinara, but it's in the simplicity that it's best appreciated... delicious! The service was lovely, cheerful, young, and polite. Some of the guys were a little shy, but very polite and helpful, working together to help each other and manage the evening as best as possible. Fair prices, good, cold, well-tasted draft beer, thin, crispy fries (only the fritters could be better using the delicious pizza dough). Since we're in the business ourselves, I can only say... Authentic Neapolitan pizza, not thin-crust, but made with dough that's risen for several hours and has a nice texture, resulting in a soft and easily digestible pizza. The menu is quite varied, and you can request pizzas with various types of dough. One of the best pizzas I've ever eaten. I've been there more than once and have never been disappointed.

Edit October 2025: Still the best: the waitress is really nice and good, the pizza is fantastic, and it's great for groups. They even made us pay separately for what we ordered, causing a delay at the cash register, but always with a smile and commendable service. Keep it up, please, and don't change because you're doing great. Besides the pizza, the selection of waiters is fantastic, always polite, kind, and friendly. The best pizza you'll eat in the area. Special. Top service. Huge dining room. Highly recommended.

Great pizza near the city center. We ordered a few different ones and they were all very tasty. Personally, I prefer wood-fired pizza (from what I've seen, they bake with gas, but that doesn't hurt here. It's really really good. Regular prices (around 10 per piece). Great. Time for tiramisu 😍

Excellent pizzeria in a fairly isolated setting with ample adjacent parking. Simple atmosphere with outdoor dining options. Good value for money.

La pizza migliore che abbia mai mangiato fino ad ora. Un basilico con un sapore e odore spettacolare sembrava raccolto al momento, x non parlare della mozzarella senza lattosio, finalmente una mozzarella per noi allergici degna di essere chiamata così, succosa dolce buonissima e fresca. Ritornerò sicuramente grazie

Pizza decente, impasto napoletano e leggero, buonissimo utilizzo del forno elettrico. Ma 4€ di Coca Cola è oltre il concetto di rincaro, posso accettare i 3€ di coperto per il locale, il panorama e dove ci si trova ma sparare alle stelle i prezzi di prodotti che ovunque si trovano al giusto non è un trattamento giusto, che rovina la buonissima esperienza legata alla degustazione della pizza.
