Pizzeria Pepito's In Roma

One of the best pizzas I've ever tasted.

We walked into this small pizzeria spontaneously, as all other restaurants were fully booked on a Friday evening. The pizza was perfectly fine — simple, tasty, and exactly what you need when you want something quick and uncomplicated. Service was straightforward and the food arrived fast, making it a convenient option for a last‑minute meal. Overall, a good place to grab a quick bite if you’re in the area and need something without a long wait.

Friendly staff. Good pizza, but not exceptional. Although the place wasn't packed, the wait for food was very long, with some confusion over orders; on Saturday nights, takeout is preferred over dine-in.

I was returning to Rome for the Christmas holidays and we tried this pizzeria by chance: it was absolutely delightful. I really wanted a nice thin Roman pizza, and we found it here. The pizza was delicious, as were the peasant-style potatoes with lime and pecorino cheese as an appetizer. Prices were reasonable, nothing compared to the other two pizzerias on the same street. Pepito's definitely wins.

Pepito's is located between two other...more "posh"...pizzerias. I've tried both of them, and while the interiors are perhaps a bit more elegant, one is a pizza factory, while the service at the other depends on the staff's mood. I prefer this small, authentic pizzeria with its friendly, helpful staff who serve delicious, crispy, well-filled pizzas with a smile. Once I found this little restaurant, I never ate pizza anywhere else, and the price is definitely worth it.

AMAZING! Absolutely fantastic experience. I walked in just a few minutes before closing (that risky moment where you expect side-eye and a “sorry, kitchen’s closed”) — and instead, I was greeted with smiles. Not only did they happily make me two pizzas, but they did it with great energy, zero rush, and even offered me a glass of wine while I waited. 🍷🍕 The pizza was delicious — perfectly cooked, comforting, and full of flavor — and the service was even better. The whole staff was warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind… just like the pizza itself. If you’re in Trastevere and want great pizza with even better vibes, this place is a must. Grazie mille, Pepito’s — you turned a late night into a perfect one. 👏🇮🇹

For my partner and I, it's an evergreen. The pizza is excellent, the salads are delicious, and the service is good and friendly. Recommended! 👌

Historic pizzeria, not very beautiful, with tables set in a very simple way and not so comfortable, but with a nice wood-fired oven in sight where they bake low and crispy pizzas well seasoned and cooked (good the simple red one and excellent the Regina with buffalo mozzarella). Very kind Selvaggia and the other girl who served us, even if the wait was long not only because of the many people in the place (both in the room on the street floor and in the basement), but also because of the coming and going of home deliveries. Average prices for pizzas and a little high for drinks. Finding parking is not always easy.
