An extraordinary pizza, thick, soft, and cooked in a pan in a good wood-fired oven.
"Abundant" on the menu refers to the size of the slice, and the one with stewed onion is typical here and masterfully tasty.
Only two small ones, and the tables are like those in an '80s pub. So, I recommend making a reservation and getting there early!

Unfortunately, it's no longer the pizza it once was...I hate to leave this review, but before, with the wood-fired oven, the pizza was cooked better and had that burnt finish that made it much more rustic and flavorful. Now the outer crust is just burned, and the center is a bit undercooked and therefore less digestible. Long wait times.

If you like "thick" pizza, this is your place. Good pizza, friendly and helpful staff, and affordable prices. If you're in the area, I highly recommend it.

Two Spaniards, a Brazilian and an Englishman visited three times whilst working at Milano Cortina Winter Olympics, and received the friendliest welcome and the tastiest pizzas at L’Ortiga.
Everyone was very friendly, particularly the lovely lady who spoke excellent English, with whom we enjoyed chatting with immensely.
Many thanks, maybe we’ll return one day.

A typical trattoria with friendly, professional, and attentive staff. The pan pizza is very good, so much so that you won't miss the wood-fired one. The price is in line with the food. I'll be back and I highly recommend it.
