Pizzeria da Remo In Roma

Really good in the center, super Roman pizzeria (I'm Roman) but the queue helps! I don't think I'll go back because there are Roman pizzerias that are just as good but with much shorter queues, but I'm happy for them. If you really want to eat here, come very early or very late (like 10pm), otherwise, prepare yourself psychologically for a wait of at least 1 hour (if you're lucky).

Authentic Italian food and you know by how many local Italians eat here that this is a good pick. Super delicious. Recommend

The pizza is among the best we’ve had. Yes, there is a long wait but it’s worth it. It was mainly locals lining up when we went. You can walk right in and order for takeaway. It took about 30 minutes for our pizza. We brought the pizza across the street to the park and ate it there with a bottle of wine.

Seen this Pizzeria on a show in the USA so made plans to visit when I came to Rome. Nothing about this place stood out from other local pizzerias. Asked for ice for my drink and was told no. Pizza was burnt as well. Don’t believe anything you see on TV I guess. Would have liked to eat inside but was crammed in a plastic tent in street. Not very appealing.

Remo is the top Roman pizzeria in Testaccio, you can breathe SPQR air, delicious thin pizza, just the way we like it in Rome

A mega restaurant with great food. It's also typically Italian, though. It's small, and the cellars are a bit rough. It's mostly frequented by locals. The prices are absolutely unbeatable. We really enjoyed it. But it's not to everyone's liking.

What an amazing Place !!! We have travelled extensively and can honestly say, this is the best pizza we have ever had !!! For the people that leave bad reviews, “the tourists” shame on you !! It is a very very busy with many locals eating there as well but it’s very much worth the wait. Yes, the staff may be grumpy, we did not experience that, but for good reason they may be grumpy. The tourists, ( which we are a part of) are too demanding. Leave the North American attitude behind and indulge in the atmosphere of a traditional Roman Pizzeria. Incredible Pizza !!! I loved all the staff and appreciated all they did. We had our Pizza to go and enjoyed it in the most amazing neighborhood park, Piazza Testaccio with a bottle of wine with all of the amazing people from that neighbourhood !! So great. You'll find the authentic atmosphere of a historic Roman pizzeria-trattoria, yet very basic, with friendly and helpful staff. The tables are packed tightly together, and service is slow due to the large crowds on a Friday night. The wood-fired pizzas are well-cooked, but the one with tuna tasted like they'd hastily emptied a can of soda out of the center, while the focaccia with bresaola was plain and raw, with not a hint of seasoning (no oil, no arugula, etc.). Prices are moderately low; you fill out a pre-printed order form and the bill is brought to your table.
