Fabulous family run restaurant in a beautiful setting with stunning views over the lake. This was a 5-7 walk from the hotel where we stayed and was recommended by our hotel receptionist. The food, service and atmosphere was brilliant. We had the pistachio pasta and lasagne which was amazing. The caramel panacota was really tasty and the house wine was really good as well. Overall really enjoyed our meal.

Beautiful building. Breathtaking visit. But in my opinion, two flaws: you should increase the selection of draft beers and drastically reduce the amount of ingredients on the pizzas, which in my opinion are truly excessive. Very kind staff. The desserts looked beautiful, but I couldn't bring myself to eat them... too full.

One of the best dining experiences in central Lake Como area. Great pizza and local specialties. Located in the hillsides above Menaggio, it offers an incredible view of Lake Como and Bellagio. The online reservation system could use some improvement. (We never got confirmation and just showed up at the requested time, but there was no wait for the table.) We highly recommend this restaurant.

It is located a few minutes by car above Menaggio, perhaps accessible on foot, I did not try it! It has a stunning view of the lake from the terrace and very good choices of meat and local cuisine that go beyond the classic pizza - spaghetti. Compared to the other restaurants in the picturesque alleys of Menaggio, I consider it better and I highly recommend it and I will definitely go back.

Lasagne was mediocre. Barely any meat, mostly cheese and overcooked pasta. The pasta with pistachios was good, but the tiramisu was a bit bland. Great location and good prices, would choose somewhere else to eat next time

Went to the pizzeria last night – and was absolutely thrilled! The pasta was perfectly cooked, the pizza truly delicious, and the highlight for dessert was a fantastic lava cake – crispy on the outside, wonderfully chocolatey on the inside. Add to that a relaxed atmosphere and friendly service. An evening that calls for a repeat – absolutely recommended!

You're simply fantastic! Your boss and your pizzaiolo do a fantastic job! But what stands out is your staff. Especially your German-speaking colleague in the white top. Unfortunately, I didn't ask her first name. So attentive, with such joy in serving guests! We were with you on Sunday and made a reservation with her for Wednesday at 6:30 PM – she was already waiting for us there and escorted us straight to table 31. An angel! Take good care of her, she deserves it! Best, Toni

23/09/2025: We were only there for dinner because our apartment was a two-minute walk away. The starter was already really good, and the main course topped it off. Very tasty food. The service staff spoke a little German, which was absolutely sufficient. We'd be happy to go back 😀

Ristorante Osteria La Vignetta

12/10/2025: There's no better place to enjoy typical local dishes. A welcoming and comfortable atmosphere, friendly and fast service, and top-notch dishes, starting with the appetizers of local cured meats and cheeses, moving on to the first courses (especially the risottos), the second courses, and concluding with the desserts (the ricotta and amaretto cake is sensational).
09/10/2025: An osteria that feels intimate, homey, with family warmth and a sense of the past: in the best sense of the word! I visited La Vignetta for dinner. The interior is reminiscent of an Alpine chalet, cozy and comfortable. Forget the ostentation of Milanese chic and fashion. Here, time stands still; there's no need to overeat to get the tables turned! Veronica and Paola (I hope I remember their names correctly), friendly, approachable, and welcoming, explain the menu to you, making you feel right at home: authentic, healthy, flavorful, and delicious food! They truly convey the idea that you want to feel good at La Vignetta! The food, it goes without saying, is excellent, spectacular. We tried two risottos: with bbq and with pumpkin and Zola, and we were absolutely delighted! The braised beef with polenta was sublime. And the bill: absolutely reasonable, excellent value for money! Thanks guys, I'll be back soon! PS: book well in advance!!! The tables are selling like hotcakes
