Pizzeria Casa Pinto In Locorotondo

I read a fairly recent review by "Yolanda" saying this place gave 5-star gluten free food with amazing service and atmosphere. That is a total lie. I asked for gluten free options and they said "Salad?". Then offered sausage and potatoes. The sausage was horribly dry and overcooked. The salad was iceberg lettuce with pizza toppings. The potatoes were decent but drowned in olive oil. I appreciate them trying, though. My wife had a regular Quattro Stagione pizza which she said was decent. Service was brusque, almost to the point of rudeness. We arrived at the restaurant on a cold night wanting to sit inside and were brought to the back of the building to a covered rooftop patio with a few small heaters, where everyone was eating with their winter jackets on while the restaurant below was empty. A bit of a head scratcher. If you're gluten free (I'm Celiac), try your luck somewhere else, but if you can eat regular pizza, this place was turning tables away as they were so busy, so that must mean something!

Perfect for eating pizza. We enjoyed it for a very reasonable price.

What a dream location in the alley. It's so romantically lit in the evening and small. The pizzas were incredibly delicious; I've rarely eaten such good pizza. And the old town is truly so beautiful. Absolutely worth a visit. We had to wait for a table, but it was quick.

Wonderful place! Delicious food and kind service! Perfect wine, delicious pizza. The raw beef salad scared me, but apparently that's the recipe :)

A quick stop around 11:30 a.m. for a glass of excellent Bianco DOC white wine, with a super smile and kindness, and complimentary olives and excellent focaccia. Thank you for this great time. To do again and again.

Posto molto sfizioso per un pranzo leggero in una cornice piacevole. Eravamo di passaggio e desideravamo due insalate con ingredienti freschi, lo staff molto gentile, i prezzi super onesti!

Nous avons connu la Casa Pinta il y 10 ans en arrière et nous avions été enchantés, surtout l‘osteria à l’étage qui n‘existe malheureusement plus. Il ne reste plus que la pizzeria. Cette fois, nous étions beaucoup moins enthousiastes. Le carpaccio de bœuf était très nature et trés bon. Par contre la pizza blanche n‘avait plus rien à avoir avec celle d‘il y a 10 ans. La mozzarella était pur caoutchouc et le tout était insipide. Le personnel était efficace et souriant à part une dame, probablement la cheffe de service, qui était particulièrement désagréable, aussi bien avec les clients qu‘avec les garçons. C‘est devenu un endroit à touristes, ou ils sont contents quand vous débarrassez le plancher le plus vite possible pour faire de la place aux prochains.
