Pizzeria Antica Porta In Firenze

08/01/2025: Brief summary of the experience: lust, double lust, lust with all the trimmings! The room is large and welcoming. The culinary offering is sophisticated and far too vast, so much so that the help of the boy present in the room is necessary to ask for explanations and advice. The desire is to try the whole menu. Unfortunately, you have to choose. So the three of us try to take different dishes so we can admire them and taste them. There are many expectations and when the dishes arrive they are not disappointed. The food is well impacted, the foods are freshly prepared, fresh and tasty. The desserts we tried were also excellent. Truly an excellent experience, it's a shame we don't live nearby to try the other options on the menu. The restaurant is located in front of the bus terminus, line 12, about fifteen minutes from the center.

07/01/2025: We are a family of vegetarians who were in Florence on vacation. We thought this restaurant sounded like a great way of getting some traditional flavors made in a way that we could eat! We ordered vegan carbonara and amatriciana (both used seitan instead of pork) as well as ravioli. For dessert we had an excellent tiramisu. Everything was delicious and on par with the vegan food I’ve had in NYC, but for literally half the price I would have paid there. They also incorporate Indian cuisine as well- they had an interesting appetizer of hummus with pappadam that was very good as well. My only complaints were that the chairs are a bit uncomfortable and our appetizers weren’t brought out until the end.
