As Romans we were looking for a place where we could eat local dishes. We were thrilled, both by the tomato soup, delicious and particular, and by the Lunigiana-style testaroli with black cabbage and walnut pesto, not to mention the perfectly cooked Picanha whose fat melted in the mouth. Homemade cheesecake with caramel was the final delight. Also highly recommended for the kindness of the staff and the more than honest price!

Ambiance: is more of a pub with a few tables. Friendly staff. The food is very special, we saw the memory card with pizzas on the internet, but it wasn't there. I would rather say that anyone who likes to eat something typical of the country is welcome to go there

What can I say? Excellent experience already upon entering this beautiful place, the welcome was good and the girl who took care of our table was excellent. I would say the quality of the dishes was top, the meat was fantastic as were the vegetable side dishes.

Appena fuori dalle mura, nel caratteristico Borgo Giannotti, è un buon ristorante con prezzi onesti. Abbiamo trascorso una piacevole serata e mangiato bene.

08/05/2025: I always return to this historic restaurant in the picturesque Via San Giorgio in Lucca. Varied but not dispersive menu. Authentic dishes, made with love. Especially the first ones. Spaghetti with special clams; I also recommend tortelli lucchesi, tomino, bruschetta. Incredible meat tartare and fillet. Last Saturday, at lunch, we were surprised by the generous portions (a rarity in Lucca these days) and the honest prices. Friendly and competent staff. The owners know how to welcome and take care of customers and are always ready to advise with a smile, but also with great discretion and education.
