Ci Voleva proprio! It WAS Needed, indeed... This is one of those places whose name says a lot, a pearl slightly hidden, situated on the edge of the historic center of Modena. But with absolutely top-notch cuisine. Dishes not complicated, but prepared with wisdom, skill and art

I discovered this restaurant through TheFork. Nice atmosphere, professional and friendly staff. Service a little slower than normal, we waited more than half an hour to get the first course and the wine arrived late after pointing out that it hadn't been served to us yet. Excellent dishes, it's a shame not to have found the house specialty: decomposed babà. Interesting prices, strange that they were written in pencil on the menu... Do they change them based on the day??? Update of 07/07/2024: I managed to get the decomposed babà, good but I expected it to be different, the rum was not noticeable; they charge filtered water at the same price as bottled water, in my opinion they should give it for free or at a symbolic price.

We went to this place on the recommendation of a local and it was exceptional. Maybe the best pizza we had in Italy. The “Modena” style pizza was amazing. The wine was also great. Pasta was also top notch. Service was excellent. The wait staff did not speak English and did not attempt to do so, but that is what I expect in Italy at a local restaurant. In any case, It was very easy to communicate with them as there was an English menu. Prices were very fair even by Modena standards. I highly recommend this place.

We loved the super meat dish….and the cheese and jam plate and the staff. If you are in town you have to stop and try the food.

Excellent venue. Every time I'm in Modena I go there. Good food, excellent quality/price. One day they made a mistake with the bill, I had left, they might as well have said nothing, they came back to the table and gave me the money back👍👏👏👏

Really good dishes, right portions and fairly low prices. The gnocchi with gorgonzola, radicchio and walnuts are an absolute must-try. Friendly staff, especially the owner. I will definitely go back.
