Pier De Cat Bistro In Castelmola

We had lunch at this establishment today. We absolutely loved everything! The food: 2 arancini then 2 risottos, generous and tasty. The owners: very welcoming, charming, funny... The music: we love the blues that rock in this restaurant😁 The price: reasonable prices, we appreciate it. Congratulations to both of you, it's a shame we were only passing through because we would have come back! A father and his son.

I didn’t know I’m a diehard fan of bruschetta caponata until Pier recommended it to me. Whatever you want from here forget it, just listen to Pier. I wish all and every restaurant host was like Pier. His girlfriend, who happens to be from my country made the right choice with him and I can’t wait to try her aubergine creme! Worth climbing the entire mountain just for his food.

Great welcome and friendly host, good food, excellent location

We stayed in Castelmola for one week and ended up visiting Pier every morning. The service was especially wholesome. The bistro is completely run by Pier, so whenever you go there, you'll meet a friendly and heartwarming person that does remember you. For the food and drink I recommend just talking to Pier. If there isn't too much going on, he does happily assist in very good English. Most mornings, we ended up choosing Cipollina or the "A Modo Mio" Sandwich, but especially if you haven't tried it yet, you should try the Arancini. Also the view is great and since it is located on the main piazza, you can perfectly sit here waiting for the tourist or public bus. Order a drink, pay early and sit back and relax. Posto alla mano , si mangia bene, molto buona zuppa tipo gulasch siciliano, proprietario simpatico e molto gentile . Il paese è bellissimo

Magari a qualcuno potrà pure dare l'impressione di un bar ma quando a Castelmola non volava una Mosca di sera, abbiamo trovato solo lui aperto e siamo stati accolti con grande solarità dal proprietario che subito ci ha messo a nostro agio. A me è piaciuto tutto, soprattutto lo spritz al vino alla mandorla che mi ha consigliato. Non metto 5 stelle perché secondo me è da rifare il menù e dare spazio anche ai primi; ci ha cucinato uno spaghetto aglio e olio che ancora me lo sogno la notte. Complimenti e un saluto da Pozzallo.
