A pearl in the alleys of Trastevere... a cozy and welcoming place, the owner was very courteous to us and immediately put us at ease, we entrusted ourselves to him for the dishes and we were very happy with it, everything was very good and the matching wine was perfect to accompany the dishes. Both my wife and I were delighted and there is no doubt that we will return.

This place is CLOSED!!! We visited Rome for the second time this year and part of our plans was to return to this restaurant based on an amazing experience we had from back in January. Went there today but the place was closed and up for sale :(

The team prepared our reserved table with baby seat before we arrived, and chose a nice table for us even though we had an infant. The food was excellent, and fairly priced. It’s off the “tourist” path so you don’t get a huge overcrowded restaurant like many in the center of Rome. Because it’s off the tourist trail the seating is a little later so if you arrive earlier for dinner (like 7:30), it will be nearly empty and fill up after 8:30. The frito Misti di mare is to die for!

Cucina semplice ma raffinata, una combinazione eccellente! Solidi primi piatti di pesce tradizionali e/o con un pizzico di fantasia; nei secondi spicca la freschezza della materia prima, ma anche l'elaborazione, che non eccede in pesantezza. Ho visitato ristoranti buoni nella vita, ma un baccalà così morbido e carnoso l'ho trovato solo qui: presente nel menu in cento modi diversi a seconda della stagione, va provato per capirne la soddisfazione. Consigliato senza remore

01/08/2024: Stopped in late afternoon for aperitivo. We took the aperitivo combo for 2 which includes a mix of cold cuts, cheese, arancini, olives and a glass of wine each. Or should I say plastic cup of wine each. They waiter advised us that they used to have actual glasses, but no longer due because patrons were breaking at least one a day, so it’s understandable, but I still prefer glass as it bring out the wine’s true character and it’s more ecological. Only negative point I have on the actual food is that the bread was a little hard and stale, but the rest was excellent. Would return!

Sfizi di Pizza

10/04/2024: They say that all roads lead to Rome and blessed Jesus who put this pizzeria on my path Very delicious, everything has to be eaten, they are wonderful
26/03/2024: We were in search of a quick stop for pizza after arriving in Rome and with only a small amount of time to spare while on a walk to the Colosseum. A search on Google showed Sfizi to have very good reviews so we decided to give it a try. The service was very good and they were very friendly. We had some slices of the pizza which was available; overall it was ok. It did the trick at the time but we found better options in other locations during our stay.
