As part of our travel around Italy we decided we had to try Pepe's pizza and were not disappointed. The dough was light and fluffy with a crispy exterior. The fried pizzas were not greasy and all the ingredients tasted fresh. Try the Vesuvio apricot fried dessert pizza and of course not to be missed is the Margharita Spagliata pizza with it's delicious ricco tomato puree. As it happened we stayed nearby at La Sbecciatrice apartment in Villa Santa Croce owned by the farmer that produces the ricco tomato puree used at Pepe e Grani. All in all it was a great experience that we hope to repeat.

Pepe in Grani is a pizzeria renowned for its truly remarkable quality, capable of satisfying even the most discerning palates. The atmosphere is refined, welcoming, and meticulously crafted, with a pleasant atmosphere that enhances the dining experience to the fullest.
The pizzas are the real highlight: the dough is impeccable, light, and well-balanced, the result of meticulous and meticulous preparation. The ingredient combinations are meticulously crafted, blending tradition and creativity without ever being overdone. The Margherita sbagliato is an example of perfect balance, while the more sophisticated options reveal a surprising harmony of flavors.
The staff is professional, knowledgeable, and expertly able to guide you through the selection of dishes, offering a service that makes your visit even more enjoyable.

The reservation service was simple and efficient, and despite it being a Saturday night, we were seated right away. Unfortunately, we weren't thrilled with the pizza: it was good, but nothing I'd travel 50 km for. Given its reputation and high expectations, I expected something more, but it didn't quite get the "wow" effect I was hoping for. The fried cones deserve a shout-out, which were truly delicious, but I found the pizzas to be average. Personally, I don't think I'd return, and I wouldn't recommend it.

A refined yet simple location, it makes you feel almost at home. Top service.
The fried croissants are sublime.
Not to mention the melt-in-the-mouth quality of the regular dough baked in the oven. A must-go.
Not just poetry... but dough masterpieces.
Worthy of the knives obtained.

Yet another gourmet experience at Maestro Franco Pepe. The atmosphere was elegant and relaxed in a beautiful, modernly renovated building in the historic center. The staff was professional and friendly. Franco Pepe's arrival in the dining room was a welcome treat, as he asked how everyone was doing. What about the pizza? Not much; the usual perfect, delicious pizza, masterfully crafted with mostly local ingredients, makes you want to travel to Caiazzo specifically. Believe me, it's definitely worth it. The high quality of the ingredients comes at a very reasonable price.
See you next time.

The dough is really special, please ask them to split a pizza in two flavors, so that you can taste more on the menu. I didn't and the pizza is very well served.

Nestled among the charming and quiet streets of Caiazzo's historic center, Pepe in Grani pizzeria transcends the classic idea of a pizzeria. It's more than just a place where you eat well: it's a laboratory of emotions, a melting pot of flavors and aromas that express the true essence of Neapolitan tradition, reinterpreted with elegance and mastery.
As soon as you step inside, you sense obsessive attention to every detail: the modern yet understated ambiance, the aroma of the wood-fired oven, the warm and relaxed atmosphere that invites you to linger, savor, and be captivated. The well-kept and welcoming rooms provide the backdrop for attentive yet never intrusive service, where the staff stands out for their courtesy, professionalism, and a genuine passion for sharing Pepe's creations.
I ordered a Margherita with buffalo mozzarella and a classic calzone with cooked ham, mozzarella, and tomato. Both were an explosion of flavor and harmony. The Margherita, with its disarming simplicity, demonstrates how perfection lies in attention to detail: a velvety and fragrant sauce, a full-flavored yet balanced buffalo mozzarella, a dough that melts in the mouth, light and fragrant. The calzone, on the other hand, embodies all the skill of the Neapolitan oven: soft on the outside, juicy and balanced on the inside, with a perfect balance between the sweetness of the prosciutto and the acidity of the tomato.
But the real star remains the dough: a masterpiece of balance, digestibility, and technique. Soft, airy, impeccably cooked, it releases time-honored aromas and authentic sensations. It's in that bite that you understand the difference between a good pizza and a signature pizza: Franco Pepe's is a gesture of love for the pizza itself, a ritual that combines tradition and innovation.
The panoramic terrace adds a further touch of magic: dining overlooking the Caserta hills at sunset, while the scent of burning wood mingles with the cool evening air, is an experience that will remain in your memory. The prices, fully justified by the quality of the products and the intricate craftsmanship, reflect a level of gastronomic excellence.
Ultimately, Pepe in Grani is more than just a pizzeria: it's a place of the soul, where every pizza tells a story of research, territory, and passion. A must-see for those who truly love pizza and want to discover what it means to bring it to the pinnacle of its expression.

The pizza was delicious, and everything was very special... but a restaurant is a pleasure, and that wasn't the case for me. Even though we'd booked months in advance, choosing a weekday at 9:30 PM, we waited 45 minutes longer than the reservation time, in the cold and in the middle of the street, with no respect... not even a clarification on the waiting time.
We all work, and we need to have mutual respect... I don't think I'll be back.
