Excellent desserts, service could be improved.

Exceptional quality. Delicious products. Unfortunately, the prices are very high, but they reflect the quality. The atmosphere is welcoming and, in a pleasant climate, you can also sit outside under the glass roof.

A very good pastry shop for the quality and flavor of their pastries (and not just sweets). But the reason I'm writing this review isn't to state the obvious (that Dava is an excellent pastry shop!) but to comment on the service at the bar (not the bar service, but the bar service itself). I'll clarify that the people who work at Dava are committed and, generally speaking, kind! The problem I encountered from my recent experience was more with the organization. Let me explain: I went to the pastry shop (it was packed like never before) and at the cashier they took my order: those delicious cream-filled cannellini had already evaporated after 10:00 (and this is a problem Dava has always had, and I'm aware of it, although there could be improvement there too). They had only two chocolate ones left, and only two Chantilly ones. I ordered those two, then paid and sat down. The wait was long, obviously not the waiters' fault (though they did take a while to open the first-floor dining room given how crowded it was), but the ironic and bittersweet part (for a pastry shop, pardon the oxymoron 😅) was seeing one of the two Chantilly cannellini I'd ordered at the register and was waiting for at my table snatched right from under my nose. It was stolen (unknowingly, of course) by a customer who came in after me, who ordered and ate it directly at the counter. The moral of the story is that when the food arrived, only ONE of the two cannellini I'd ordered (and paid for) was on the tray. I pointed out the omission and replaced it with a chocolate one. I reiterate that Dava is an excellent pastry shop, and the people who work there do so with dedication and sometimes with a smile for their customers. This recognition is especially important on busy days, as I found. However, I think some adjustments are necessary, especially regarding order control and the products available on the counter. I ate a cinnamon roll really delicious. The personnel is always kind and leave the order at your table. I recommend to go up on the first floor, because the ground floor is often too crowded, meanwhile only few people know about the other.

Impeccable service and good quality material

What an extraordinary experience!!! Not only was the cake simply wonderful and perfect, just as my son requested for his eighteenth birthday, but the kindness, helpfulness, and patience of all the staff who worked with me were fabulous! Thank you again from the bottom of my heart!

A feast for the eyes. So many colorful and delicious mini-cakes... it's hard to choose just one.

Damiano is one of the best pastry chefs you can trust. When we tasted the cakes to decide on a wedding cake, he gave us a hard time because he makes so many delicious things. Damiano is a delightful, welcoming, and highly experienced person, and no one better than him can make the cake moment the moment of your dreams. Our cake, the three-chocolate one, was praised repeatedly by so many of our guests. Damiano was the perfect choice, and I would recommend him to anyone!

Service leaves much to be desired. The pastries are anything but artisanal. I wouldn't recommend it, but there are better options (especially considering the prices).

From our first meeting, Dava perfectly interpreted our ideas. Always available to accommodate our requests and customize the service, they worked with us to create a menu and organization that proved to be flawless. All appointments and schedules were met precisely, without a single mix-up. On the wedding day, the team worked with great commitment, professionalism, and kindness, managing to meet the needs of all our guests. The food was truly excellent; we received many compliments and were proud of our choice. Even financially, everything was clear and fair. We were thrilled and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable, competent, and detail-oriented catering and banquet service.
