29/12/2025: ENCHANTED EXPERIENCE Etna Palace was a delightful discovery, truly splendid. The location, with its park, outdoor spaces, large fountain, and covered and uncovered verandas, is truly delightful. The interiors are well-kept and very welcoming, as is the staff: Maria Rita and Angela, as well as their brothers in the dining room and kitchen, were excellent hosts. I had the Christmas lunch, which was excellent, from the entrée with a welcome cocktail through to all the other courses. The fried cocktails were delicious, as were the hot and cold appetizers we received (anything but ordinary in their combinations, with a simple yet impeccable potato basket with Russian salad!). The two first courses were exquisite (and I had seconds of both): both the fresh pasta with a delicious Sorrento-style tomato sauce and the asparagus and speck risotto were superbly cooked, textured, flavorful, and savory (and risotto is notoriously difficult!). The second course (a thin rib-eye steak with mushrooms and an exceptional roux: I had seconds of both), accompanied by a baked potato, a treasure trove of delicious broccoli and prosciutto filling, was truly delicious. I would have loved to have had seconds of the desserts, especially the cream puffs, but I managed to restrain myself. The non-alcoholic drink to start, the Montepulciano served at the perfect temperature for eating, and finally the sparkling wine at the end were perfect pairings for the various courses. Add to that the quality-price ratio was absolutely in favor of the quality (elsewhere, at least, the price would have been about twenty euros more!), and I can only recommend going, and returning!
