A must-see in Catania to discover an unmissable side of tradition: fried food. Excellent Sicilian pizza, and a ricotta ravioli for a sweet finish. This evening, many appetizers were missing (despite it being Sunday, staying open would require a full menu) and almost all of the limited wine selections. I would aim to improve the wine selection for diners who choose to dine in. There's no need to add labels; on the contrary, a quality wine on tap (more in keeping with the place's simple spirit) would lower expectations and offer a truly complete and coherent experience. Friggitoria Stella shouldn't be a place for wines by the glass or fine bottles... simplifying the menu wouldn't disappoint. On the contrary. In any case, an unbeatable experience. Highly recommended. Kudos to those who preserve this piece of Catania history with care and dedication.

They have every right to be proud of this 5 generations restaurant - best selected homemade dough and food compositions. Wich makes it also logical that the design in both restaurant and kitchen , breathe top nodge quality. Best fried sicilian pizza in my universe…

Everything was good! The selection wasn't huge, but everything was fresh and delicious. The staff was very welcoming and friendly.

I was in Catania for a five-day trip and ate two nights at this family-run friggitoria. Everything was truly delicious: the schiacciata and Sicilian pizzas were truly superb, as was the treatment I received from the owners. I really hope to return soon.
