If you are in Palermo and want to immerse yourself in the true essence of the Sicilian pastry tradition, this is certainly one of the places I most highly recommend.

Even in winter, Cappello confirms itself as an excellent pastry shop. In December I tasted the 7 veli single portion, around €4. Maybe a little expensive, but delicious. In fact, the next day I ordered the entire cake for 6 people (€21).

He may be famous but a good morning could also be said. Very good razor clam and average wood basket... avoidable, if I went back I would get something else. The babá and cassata are also good as is the cappuccino.

A must-try pastry shop, we had breakfast with croissants (the best I've ever eaten) and cannoli. The coffee maker is also excellent. A sore point that is too chaotic. We will definitely return to this foodie's paradise

This place was very busy on Christmas and for a reason, I saw so many beautiful pastry platters arranged in front of my eyes each more enticing than the other. Draw a number at the entrance and wait for your turn, order, pay at the cashier and pick up your carefully packed sweets. Sfogliata with ricotta was my favourite, super crispy layers and balanced ricotta cream. The pistachio petit fours was also amazing. House chocolate bars with pistachio and other nuts or dried fruit also available at the cashier desk.

Excellents croissants à la pistache et à la crème. Qualité française. ! Le café tout aussi excellent ! Renommée justifiée. Les pâtisseries ont l’air excellentes aussi.

La Dolce Vita

17/01/2025: Friendly and quick staff, they are well organized to manage a full place for lunch time. I order a menu with vegetarian panuozzo, drink and coffee. The panuozzo is abundant and accompanied by an excellent pink sauce. I leave (in a more than reasonable time) full and satisfied. I save the place in my notes to return next time I'm in the area.
05/01/2025: I recommend making a reservation as it is often very full. Going without a reservation is a risk. Very varied menu from metro pizza, specials, calzones, sandwiches, fine meat also of the highest quality. It is definitely a place that you need to take into consideration if you want to eat well and lots of it.
