They are so nice here and the sandwiches ohh wow. The bread is fresh and when it is gone it’s gone and if you arrive too late you can almost guarantee it will be gone. You can either make your own or you can grab what is made that day. Yesterday we had one that are a mix of a pretzel and Sicilian bread. My goodness was it good. Recommend for sure. If you don’t speak Italian why are patient with you and will try to help out.

The best bakery in central Palermo! I started my routine at Bar del Corso with my daily coffee and a brioche con cioccolato that sent me straight to heaven. When I passed by this bakery, I noticed they had them too and decided to buy one for comparison (I’m a huge brioche con cioccolato fanatic). The moment I took a bite, I knew instantly: these were the exact same ones served at Bar del Corso! From that day on I changed my routine: coffee at the bar first, then pastries at Panificio. What a discovery. I asked them which pasteries are the most popular ones, so thank you for recommending the brioche injected with ricotta and chocolate... it was out of this world! The service was friendly. I became such a fan that I came back every single day. One morning they had run out of brioche con cioccolato, so they actually called the baker to ask him to make extra. I took a short walk, waited, and ended up leaving with a bag of four pastries haha. It was a bit much (actually, not really, I finished them all throughout the day), but what truly amazed me was the price. For a tourist from the north paying only €0.50 for a warm, fresh, homemade pastry is insane. Everything was delicious, and I’m honestly sad I only discovered this place at the end of my holiday. I miss it immensely and I’m cursing the fact that I don’t live in Sicily. I truly hope to come back one day. Good luck!

L'angolo di Mondello - Trattoria da Franco

12/08/2026: Not bad, but in my opinion it's a bit too touristy. Who can blame them, they're just steps from the beach?! But I prefer something more authentic.
09/08/2026: L’Angolo di Mondello was one of the absolute highlights of our trip to Sicily. From the moment we arrived, the entire dining experience was amazing and we were made to feel like we were at home. The food was simply incredible. Every single dish that came to the table was outstanding, from the fresh seafood and octopus to the pasta, risotto, and everything in between. After traveling and eating our way around Sicily, this was the best food we had on the entire island. This isn’t just a restaurant we would recommend if you happen to be in Mondello. L’Angolo di Mondello is a destination in itself and worth making a special trip for. It was truly one of the peak experiences of our entire vacation. Definitely call ahead for a reservation. This is a special place.

26/07/2026: At dinner, with 40 degrees outside, the staff never lost their smile, working as if there were no sirocco, as if it were just another ordinary evening. Excellent service and always top-notch food. The seafood was incredibly fresh and the pasta excellent. Good value.
18/07/2026: Good food, but the wait was endless. It wasn't worth the wait. Food was practically served to everyone in the room except us, with people who had sat down well after us. They simply needed two plates of pasta, not to recreate Jupiter and Mars.
