Takes AMEX and has a seat in the bathroom. What more could matter to an American tourist? It is just next to the Hop on Hop Off bus stop number 10, so you hardly have to work for your meal. One of the Naples specialties is Pasta Genovese--a delicately sauteed onion and meat sauce that pre-dates tomatoes in Italian cooking. I tried that and found a new favorite dish with its slow roasted onion and meat sauce. The meat and onions were basically disintegrated into the ziti pasta, and they had added chunks of pork shoulder to give a meatier punch. My dining partner had mussels (cozze) in sauce and did the keto meal (although the sourdough bread was used to wipe up the sauce). The owner / server was quite limited with his conversational English and was helped out with his son? who looked over from playing video games with his buddy when I tried to invite them to the World Cup in the US. They praised my attempts at Italian responses and even the neighbors two tables over were there to help me with my conjugations. Hardly 20 seats in the place and not sure I would want to go there with more than 6 people as the kitchen is probably tiny.

Pastamore & Chiatamone was recommended to me by a woman who runs a bar in Borgo Marinari. I visited in May and returned yesterday for another family lunch. The restaurant is located on Via Chiatamone, behind the old Faculty of Economics and Business. There's a parking garage in front of the restaurant if you don't have a car. The restaurant seats about 25 people. The blue walls and original furnishings make it feel like a beautiful, welcoming home. It offers seafood and meat menus, featuring traditional Neapolitan dishes and seasonal produce, all freshly cooked by Chef Vincenzo, who expertly leads you on a unique journey of flavors, ensuring memorable moments with his expertise and friendliness. We enjoyed amazing seafood dishes, including appetizers such as cuttlefish and artichoke steak, rock mussels, grilled anchovies, and exquisite Italian-style fried fish. The first courses, seafood scialatielli, paccheri with catch of the day, pasta allo scarpariello, and second courses, fried cod and Sicilian-style cod, were all excellent, tasty, and delicate. The portions are generous. The house wines are good, and the wine list offers a wide variety. There wasn't much room for dessert, but those who tried the babà enjoyed it. Excellent value. Highly recommended for a time filled with flavors and harmony.

Highly recommended! We ate here twice during our three-day stay in Naples. The food is fantastic, truly fresh, and made with love. We were always served warmly and friendly, and the restaurant has a really nice atmosphere, and the value for money is excellent!

The best food in Naples! Delicious, fresh seafood. The chef himself came to the table and advised what to order - full of passion and commitment. Very nice service, great atmosphere. I highly recommend!

Tried a couple new dishes and was pleasantly surprised. The portions are amazing. We didn’t need to do a second dish. Apart from that the customer service was incredible. Whenever we finish our basket of bread the benevolent waiter, always cut up fresh bread and plated it for us. As a group of four, we got the house wine, which was great, two anti-pasta dishes, and everybody ended up getting the gnocchi which was the best gnocchi I’ve ever had in my life.

Locale perfetto per sperimentare la VERA cucina napoletana, fuori dal contesto turistico. Ambiente spartano. Prezzi bassi. Il proprietario gentilissimo e simpaticissimo renderà piacevole la vostra serata

Quando io e mia moglie andiamo a Napoli,mangiamo solo in questo piccolo ristorante,una chicca Pesce freschissimo e cucinato magnificamente,senza creme o salse. Vincenzo,il cuoco/proprietario,oltre ad essere gentilissimo,e’ davvero bravo. Ogni volta che ci vado,mi meraviglio che non ci sia la ressa. Consiglio la zuppa di cozze,i paccheri con pesce spada e melanzane,gli spaghetti allo scoglio,la frittura ,i dolci. In realta’,consiglio veramente tutto. Ristorante eccezionale,super consigliato.

02/09/2023: Terrazza del blu un posto stupendo siamo stati qui per una giornata speciale insieme alla mia compagna appena seduto mi sentivo rilassato con questo panorama spettacolare sorseggiando un vino consigliato dal maitre, abbiamo preso una degustazione affidandoci allo chef ogni portata era molto raffinata niente era lasciato al caso tutto spettacolare e presentato divinamente dallo staf sempre attento al dettaglio. Grazie
27/08/2023: É stata un’esperienza a 360 gradi. Ho prenotato un pranzo con i miei genitori per festeggiare i 70 anni di mio padre. Nonostante abbia prenotato la sera prima, il servizio è stato impeccabile, lo staff più che disponibile e il cibo delizioso! Hanno persino cantato “Tanti auguri” a mio padre. La sua espressione imbarazzata rimarrà un ricordo indelebile nella mia memoria 😂♥️. Grazie ancora!

30/06/2024: Of course, here is the message reformulated in a more formal way: --- Excellent restaurant with terrace directly overlooking the sea and the splendid island of Cirella. Fresh fish is cooked with the highest quality ingredients. The service is friendly and quick. Reservations are recommended, especially during the summer months when the crowds are higher. It is the second time I have had the pleasure of dining at the Da Lucio Restaurant with friends, and it was an extremely positive experience. The location is enchanting, the staff is professional and courteous, but the real strong point are the fish dishes, which are truly extraordinary. Particularly noteworthy are the spaghetti with sea urchin. The quality/price ratio is excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant both to those who are nearby and to those who have to travel a few kilometers to reach it, because it is really worth it. Parking is available a few meters from the restaurant. I will definitely come back. July 2024
